FM isn't nearly as good as his other content. I liked FM1 back in the day but I don't look forward to new episodes at all, especially since they're so spread out that I forget where he was last time. He said himself that he does FM to pay the bills.

He's split between working on what he actually wants to work on (DA MOVIE), dreaming about what else he actually wants to work on (Civil Protection, special videos), working on Game Dungeon (which he says that he mostly enjoys) and working on Freeman's Mind (which pays his bills), while fighting mold and often switching apartments. I get that he doesn't want to alienate people but he's spread way too thin.

Ross has stated that he enjoys making Game Dungeon more (not to mention the movie), but Freeman's Mind is the money maker and what pays the bills. Freeman's Mind is what got him enough attention and a big enough fanbase to switch to making videos as a full time job.

If you're a really big Half-life fan, I'd really recommend the first one.

I don't know if I'd called it funny, but it's just kind of endearing seeing schizo Gordon Freeman running around commenting about random stuff.

Freeman Mind 2 isn't that good tho. I honestly don't even know why.

For what it's worth when he finished FM1 I distinctly remember him saying that he really didn't wanna do HL2 cause he doesn't enjoy the game nearly as much and the game itself doesn't fit the Freeman's Mind type rambling either.

But if the fans pay the bills you gotta do what you gotta do, IMO he should have just stuck with Game Dungeon and finishing THE MOVIE.

Although I really wish he'd bring back civil protection like once a year just to switch things up.

Unfortunately i expect this to occur with every scenic driving sequence, first the boat, then the car levels. The series must reach Black Mesa East, or at least the chopper boss battle for the filler to end.
Or go back to focusing on Game Dungeon, a more consistently entertaining series, but like others said it's what the majority wants the focus to be put into
