KH3 was an utter failure. Only 15 percent of KH3 purchasers bought the DLC. People didn't want more Kingdom hearts after playing that crap.

Kingdom hearts has shifted from relying on nostalgia to enjoy most of the world plots and characters as pretty much small barely connected episodes, to relying on trending and popular quasi-disney movies that nobody really asked for while shifting the nostalgia to kingdom hearts itself, in that the gameplay and kh original worlds and characters are pushed as the entire plot and setting featuring elsa and woody! But unfortunately they decided to turn that into complete shit.
The underwhelming difficulty and overwhelming cutscene attacks didn't help at all.
Squall being "Leon" in kh 1 and 2 kinda foreshadowed how fucking gay they would make everything if given more creative freedom over these characters.

I honestly felt like 15 was a much better game overall as much as i wanted kh3 to be super good.

Funny the story has the following as problems:

- The concept of the stories are NOT good
- It's badly explained
- The writing in general for executing the concepts is horrible

Because of the above? Dropping this series. I don't care if the gameplay fixes itself, if I don't like the characters because of the above. Doing shit like reviving dead characters to make fanboys happy is also shit.
