Why is case 4 in Justice For All just the dumbest shit ever?

Why is case 4 in Justice For All just the dumbest shit ever?

It's really bad and is the most obvious example of a writer trying to make grand sweeping statements about subject matter that they do not know anything about or understand ever. I think it's downright embarrassing but it has le epic twist so actually it's the best.

I honestly don't think they knew what they were doing when they wrote the case.

Where my attorney bros at?

>hasn't made an appearance since
I miss mia

Explain specifically what's so bad about it.

I mean the issue with Justice for All is only case 2 really mattered to the whole plot. There was throwaway cases in both the first and third but both had this ultimate ending which things were leading up to. Case 4 is just trying to do something different which overall isn't bad just feel like a weird way to end the game on.

It's probably because she dabs so hard on the other women when she appears.

2-4 is the best case from the entire series though

>Yas Forums has finally become contrarian enough to hate on 2-4
I've seen it all now.

Explain why it is the best.

Elaborate

implying main plots haven't always been the worst part of ace attorney

I mean 1 and 3 there was some sort of build up to the final case (not counting the bonus in 1 that was thrown in). Case 4 of the second game just seem to be there to have a dramatic ending since it only had case 2 for plot and for me I just felt overall the cases in game 2 was just bad overall.

That screenshot is from 2-2.

Mia was in Trials and Tribulations.

>That screenshot is from 2-2.
Tits

AA2 is the worst AA game easily

The worst AA game is actually Dual Destinies

I don't think that anything is more retarded that the 3 case in Apollo justice so you are wrong.

Thinking over all the cases, I would have to agree with this.

Post rare Fey sisters

I SAID FUCKING POST THEM

Of the classic games for sure. I'd probably say DD or AJ are worse if we counted the new stuff.

Kay > Maya

I understand that 2 and 5 look similar and that they're together in the numpad but you can't make errors like this.

Cringe

the entire crux of the narrative and character arc is that a person who supposedly got into working as a defense lawyer is having a crisis over defending someone who is guilty even though that is a statistical guarantee in the profession and common knowledge to literally anyone who knows anything about the legal system. the way it handles this and the conclusions it reaches are childish and demonstrate no real understanding of the profession, yet takumi feels the need to speak to the core of what a lawyer is regardless. it's like a kids cartoon interpretation of reality laced with zero irony or hints of understanding.

Well yes, I don't think Ace Attorney is actually about being an actual lawyer

Based aceman back with the good shit as always

And so ultimately it ends up being about nothing at all because nothing in it captures reflects a plausible situation or conclusion about the characters or the profession it tries to speak to.

Turnabout Bigtop is the worst

Navigating around it is more annoying than it needs to be.

fucking this, 4-3 might also be a boring nightmare but at least that case deals with the themes of AJ

It’s actually hilarious that AJ Phoenix was basically completely retconned

What are Mayas and Mias breast sizes?

2-2 is underrated as hell and we all know how fucking good 2-4 is
Even if it's a bad game, it doesn't just change the fact that it's a must play
Also, 2-1 is at least sorta funny and the 2-3 anime adaption kinda made the case more likeable

DGS1 is honestly the worst game

What are you on about? Since the beginning there was nothing even remotely plausible about any of it, trials don't actually work anything like they do in AC
That was never the point, that was just the backdrop, the setting to stage little point-n-click adventures in

It does pay lip service to the idea of the necessity of defending someone who is guilty through Edgeworth, to be fair, it's just that it takes a major backseat to the kidnapping, which is the main reason why 2-4 even goes the way it does.

The whole series is a parody of the shitty Japanese legal system and nothing more.

And Edgeworth even tells Phoenix to stop being a bitch and defend Matt, because even he deserves a legit defense, so the game does acknowledge it.

And in my opinion, Matt didn't deserve a fair trial for literally holding his lawyer's family hostage.

I always felt that 1-4 was a way better finale than 2-4. 2-4 relied way too heavily on it's twist, playing it again after beating it feels very slow, the first time was a rush because of the kidnapping, and not knowing anything about what was going on, but I feel like all the other last cases in the series, or at least the trilogy, didn't put everything on the identity of the killer. Look at how stupidly simple the actual case of 2-4 is if you ignore the kidnapping, and the wow factor of Matt being behind it are. 1-4 is a constant rush because of the parrot, Larry bursting in, Yanni's reveal, and so on, and 3-5 is absolute batshit insanity with shit like the Larry's painting, and playing as Edgeworth for half of it.

Who the hell would want play a game about actual legal work? That's the shit you have to pay people good money to do.

Gonna need an answer to this, lads

Who the fuck would disagree with that? 1-4 is like a finale to a game that should never have become a franchise.

How would you have written 2-4?

You can make games which gloss over the truly mind-numbing parts of the profession while still exploring the harsh realities of the job.

Much as I agree with that in principle, Ace Attorney at the end of the day is a pretty light-hearted franchise that not necessarily interested in being realistic in that way. If the series ever went for a darker tone maybe those harsh realities would be explored more, but that's not where we are right now.

Yas Forums is contrarian enough to hate Gumshoe, there's no limit to it.

I hate 1-5, and I hate the entirety of Investigations 2. Even I'm not as contrarian as you are.
