That feeling when I just escaped Fort Joy with the Lady Vengeance.
That feeling when I didn't loot the crew that died before the battle ended.
R.I.P.

huh what ambush in Arx? I didn't have Lohse though was it because of her?

Me neither on my first playthrough, on this one I killed Alexandar and somehow this "pissed off" the Doctor. On the west side of Arx near the docks on the way to the lizard embassy, there's one "conspicuous citizen" or similar that you can talk to (or maybe they talk to you idk) and the dialogue only has 1 option which results in 4 level 20 Nemesis Devourer 7k hp 2k armor/magic armor appearing. Apparently there's some other ones in Arx but fucking hell

>not making back up
Me and a friend got death smogged in the goblin dimension at level 17. I alt f4 and miracuslously some file was still there. I manually edited it and recompressed and boom, game saved.
Still didnt win the campaign though because my friends beast went rogue in the final fight and fucked me over after I killed my friend.

Playing a support custom human character on honour mode with my two buddies. We just beat Fort Joy and started act two. What are some most have talents? I have Far Out Man, Escapist, and Pet Pal. Definitely gonna pick up living armour to make my healing more effective.
And what skills? I have the obligatory Peace of Mind, Armor of Frost, Restoration, Soothing Cold, Mend Metal, and Wings for mobility.

How do I get past fort joy. I’m not even sure what I’m supposed to do.

You get like 4 methods to leave fort joy wtf. Explore nigga.

I was honestly impressed at how many ways there are to escape it

Too bad teleporting is just so fucking easy and quick.than the other ways i know about. There's tele, sewers, ?, ??

Opportunist is an obvious one for a melee character. If you pump up warfare on your physical guy(s) (which you should) then picture of health is a no-brainer. Executioner is excellent too for warfare guys, getting 2 AP back from killing an opponent is huge.

Unless you are a Scoundrel. The critical bonus from Scoundrel is greater than the warfare bonus you would get and it would be more effective to put those points into poly for apotheosis/flesh graft.

Best mod to remove the retarded amor system?

If you just want to leave ASAP and be under leveled, loot the leg from the dead lizard bitch who you see get executed, talk to the dead dude after playing hide and seek with the little shit in the elf save. He'll tell u theres a button on the statue in the square. Use button, sneak by the fight where magisters are killing their own dude, steal key, open big doors and walk to the super creep and give him the leg. Open door and walk out sewer behind him.

t. DOS2 addict

>have completed the game 5+ times now
>want to try some mods, but still have a few achievements to clear out
>can't tell if the mod that disables achievements actually works because it's not from steam and I had to install it seperately

I really don't want to get another 30 hours down the way to find out it was wasted effort

I lost one honor mode run in DOS1 because I managed to shoot my own party with Pontius' gun when things were already going badly. This was just pure retardation on my part and I really deserved it.
Then about 1.5 years ago I lost an honor mode run in DOS2 in the pocket dimension because I clicked the kill-all switch or whatever it was and both of my dudes were in the danger areas. I even had time to react to it but didn't because I had Fane and thought "lel deathfog doesn't do anything" and conveniently forgetting that lava comes afterwards. This was a case of me having characters that were already too strong so I started sleepwalking through the game because no enemy was a threat.
Just yesterday I lost a second honor run in DOS1 in Boreas' throne room by answering wrong to the statue asking for a "password" and then it spawned lava and my whole party got instagibbed. This was again a case of sleepwalking because the game had become too easy. I answered the goblin chieftain's name to it out of reflex because it's actually the correct answer to some other query in the game. But I really shouldn't even have had my whole party at the spot, since I had a dedicated scout for shit like this but I just stopped caring about being careful.
Currently installing DOS2 again since I have another honor mode run going there that just made it to the end of Reaper's Coast. I was forced to stop playing it back in 2018 because a game-breaking bug stopped me from progressing and it took them almost six months to fix it after I reported it. This time for sure, right? Although I remember that my characters in that save were already too powerful for the game to be interesting so I'll probably sleepwalk into lava again.

bridge, ladder, boat.

Ladder? I remember the bride and the boat now that i think about it.

first off it's not DIVINITY 2
it's Original Sin 2

>playing divinity
thats were you went wrong in the first place. Kingmaker exists

Playing and learning in the game is a lot of fun. even when it comes to builds. That said, i feel like im struggling a little. My buiilds are:

Polymorph Dorf:
2 handed
Poly and Aero

Red Prince
Sword and Board
Warfare

Ifan
Crossbow
Huntsman

Lohse
2h Staff
Necro and Hydro

Since uping their memory and skill slots they gotten better, I feel like Lohse feels a little uner powered but at the same time she is heals oriented...

How did you even manage to get that far dying to an obvious ambush like that? Did you use some kind of exploit?

When you're high enough level you can get grasp of the dead and blood storm as necromancer. They turn them from shit to the best class in the game.

You can get to it from magister barracks.

>playing DOS 2
>reach Arx
>drop the game
How do I stop doing this?

The best healer/dps combo is Aero/Hydro. Aero just gets so insane in the late game with storm. I killed the Kraken in 2 turns with only my Huntsman and healer because of Storm.

You don't.
There's really no reason to play beyond Act 2 in D:OS2.

This game has some non-intuitive with how you should build characters for max efficiency.

For example, Ifan should have like 2 points in marksman just for skills but Warfare will actually do more damage per point as you will not always be highground. Polymorph dwarf also sounds like he should be maxing warfare based on him using a 2h after 3 polymorph at the most for skin graft.

Actually, if you go for a high wits build, scoundrel is better than warfare for a huntsman. As long as you can get up to 50% crit, its more worth it. Plus you can use adrenaline which is probably the most OP "normal" skill in the game.

It's sounds unlikely that he is at the point where he has enough crit chance to make scoundrel touch warfare.

From what I've seen you would need 100% crit for those points to be equal value as they would both add 5% at that point.

When does 5% more damage on crits ever become better than 5% damage on all attacks?

>you will not always be highground
yeah, merely 90% of the time

Attached: 1471109636658.jpg (500x500, 144.27K)

Scoundrel is definitely good too, but I still prefer pumping up warfare for the +4% health for every point in it, if you have the poh talent.

Don't listen to that user, if you do physical damage maxing warfare is always the most efficiennt points, barring things for skill requirements. Scoundrel would be like the 3rd priority behind ranged if we are still talking about a ranger build.

> tfw rivellon starts playing

literally every single character needs 1 point in scoundrel for adrenaline

Tell me something user
If I enjoyed dos but was bored to hell with pillars of eternity - should I try kingsmaker or is it more like pillars? I really didn’t like the combat system in pillars

Thanks for the advice

Not him but it's much closer to PoE, DoS is a lot further from the BG styled cRPG and made for a different audience to make it more palpable. It's still miles ahead of PoE though. If you're pretty familiar with DND/Pathfinder rulebook you might like it.

serves you well
tactician is cancer in DOS2 and makes the already shitty armor-based combat system 10x worse and obnoxious
also forget about any fun build variety, you go either full physical or magic on all characters

Hm what i though. I’m also aware or I can see why dos appealed to me more. Iingsmaker is probably not for me but maybe I’ll try it when it’s on sale someday
I liked dnd back in the day

Who was in the wrong here?

Ownt™

Capatilism

both of them were jackasses
neither built the bridge, they just occupied them

I killed them both but at least the one that charged like 3 coins had ok rates. The city should have hired him themselves. Pay him a fair fee and he keeps the bridge safe for everyone. If I hadn't seen random civilian bodies around the bridge I may have even considered letting him live. Having a big ass troll who is docile keep a bunch of voidwoken off a commonly used road isn't a bad idea.

The other one can eat a dick in hell. What was it? 3k gold? Nah fuck you.

so buckle up and try again? why are you trying super hard shit not expecting to lose?

definitely grog

Who is your D:OS 2 husbando/waifu and why? Who was your first?

I played first DivOS to the chapter 3 or something. There was a pretty cold landscape and I believe I was finished with that part. Is this game similar to the first one? I enjoyed the first one

>rain
>contaminate
>wait
>profit

>can flee from combat by clicking a button
>only need to be like 10 ft away from any enemies
>can heal to full, buff up, then come back in combat and as long as a partner stayed in, nobody will have healed
What the FUCK were they thinking with this mechanic? You can 100% break the game with this if you are enough of a faggot to do this.

Attached: 1575597096234.png (596x391, 130.7K)

This game is like the first but better in every single regard and much more fleshed out. Don't let retards whining about the armor system turn you off, it's not an ideal solution but it's still better than the first game's endless cc spam.

I like DOS2 much much better than the first one. Combat feels way better and the story/layout is much less of a clusterfuck to me.

Sebille ofc

They were thinking you wouldn't resort to this level of faggotry unless you absolutely had to
You can already break the game in cheesy ways, this is just one more

DOS2 is made to be more appealing to the mainstream than the first game. Whether that's a good or a bad thing is up to you.

Sebille is based and murderwaifu-pilled

>What up bitch
>Oh my seems I have my knife to your throat I'm very deadly oh how sharp my knife is I am very scary and--
>Loot Sebille's corpse

I like when they act edgy and tough

You could take the escapist perk on some character that doesn't need too many perks and do it even easier.

>desu no playable demons orcs beastmen goblins
>but you get the stock dwarf, Mary sue elves, boring humans and faggot lizards

Undead is the only thing remotely interesting and unique.

>no playbale goblins
it hurts

Savage sortilege on a mage/archer for big crits

Elemental affinity is a must have, you rain and every water skill costs 1 ap less. Works for every element too
