The gameplay is fine, but it has the absolute worst writing I've ever witnessed in all of gaming.

God, the powers in this game are so boring. I'm playing Flak and he's so boring to play but none of the other characters seem fun.

Gimme a quick rundown on Borderlands 3 story.

Everyone is a Siren and they go off to have politically correct and hip young adventures.
Your character is not present, gameplay and story are completely disconnected.

I got it for like 20 bucks and got the season pass for free thanks to a friend.
I already torrented it before so now I can play characters without getting fucked by announced in newgame+ so that's cool.
Mode best character.

Untrue, BL3 has the most tight sound and gun design in the entire series thus far.

Skills trees are terrible, bosses are trash, environments look 90% the same from one another, manufacturer feel exactly the same with only a difference in stats, the only one who stands out being Maliwan and that's because of it's elemental effects, the quests are absolute garbage, the pacing of the game is horrible and you're for the most part always facing enemies 2-4 levels higher than you unless (and sometimes even if) you're doing sidequests, the OST ambients are alright but the combat themes are horrible, the DLC is very low quality aside from Knoxx, fast travel is very limited and not even available until the middle of the game and it lacks the movement and QoL of future entries.

It's easily the worst game in the franchise

The entire story is dominated by 3 Tiny Tinas and Lilith. The dialog will continuously have you cringing and the constant unfunny humor will choke the will to play out of you.

None of that is true or were just opinions, hell, a big thing was them reigning in gun gen in future titles because 1 was so off the wall. Then after every gun felt the same with preset manufacturer gimmicks tacked on outside of uniques.

Didn’t spend the money myself, my brother bought it for me because he wanted to play coop. $30 is probably too much, but it’s more borderlands. Basically 2 to 3 is the same as 1 to 2. Everything feels updated, some of it for the better, some not, but one thing for sure is that the writing got more cringey and immature. Also what the fuck is the deal with all the cutscenes? In the first few hours of playing they introduce literally only le strong womyn and there’s no male character almost at all, I just noticed last night, on the bridge of a space ship in BL3 there is not a single man in sight. The ship is being piloted by a 100% female crew. It’s like they’re not even trying to hide it. Definitely a fun game if you liked the first two and can get past the feminazi propaganda, probably not worth $30 otherwise.
