Nioh 2

Another thread for people to complain about the snake.

Can we complain about the constant 3V1's then?
Cause those are pretty bad too.

Well the snake sucks so it deserves to be complained about.

Both can be solved with the same solution: Mezuki soul core, which you then replace with the snake's after you beat him.

You seem to be implying that Mezuki's soul core isn't as awful as literally every other soul core.

What even is Dual Swords niche supposed to be? Hatchets attack equally as fast while fulfilling a unique gimmick (albeit it's kind of an average one) and Tonfa outclasses them in every regard, period.
I wanted to try them because Yamanba Blades look cool, but they seem to just be bad.

What? It annihilates crowds, and the snake boss is basically a crowd since it has 3 parts that can be hit.

They're bad. There is no gimmik.

How the difficulty compared to Nioh 1 and Sekiro?

Why is Yas Forums so bad at video games?

Did the snake boss get worse compared to the beta or something? I havent gotten to him yet, but I dont remember him being that hard

Magic or Ninjutsu

No. He's actually easier.

It's weak ass arms aren't the issue in that fight. It's the fucking spin attack that can't be blocked that takes off 80% of your hp.

He's way easier, especially his grab which is easier to see coming and does much less damage.

Go into low stance and mash the dodge button then. That shouldn't even be that much of an issue though because if you're attacking and using your soul cores properly then you'll be doing so much stamina damage he'll barely get a chance to attack.

Id say harder than Nioh 1, though its hard to tell since im not going into it completely new.

I'm finding it much easier than nioh 1. Mileage may vary depending on build, I'm using switchglaive and the snake soul core and I plow through everything.

I think it is harder than Nioh 1 on a base level, but if you abuse the new mechanics it can be easier than 1. Personally I think spamming those soul core things and having to counter all the time is really not fun at all though.

I don't think that there is a proper way to compare Sekiro to this game, they're very different types with vastly different focuses.

weird, though I guess not everyone fought his beta version. probably cause they got weaseled or didnt have time

>the snake soul core and I plow through everything.
This thing is so busted

If by abusing them you mean using them at all, then sure.

I'm not complaining about mrs snake lady, but holy fuck hatchet is the worst thing for her. Yo udo more ki damage than actual damage so you get forced into the other state which sucks dick because you have to fight the shit camera. And if you kill her arms you lose the best way to attack her

Is kusa good? The more I use it the more I like it.

Now that's a fun attack.

Just low stance and dodge bro

No, I meant the actual definition.
Spamming the Snake boss core to instantly kill pretty much every foe that isn't a boss or using Ippon Datara for an instant free finishing move whenever you want is really lame.

Today's twilight was kinda disappointingly easy compared to tengu's one
Gozuki on graveyard felt like he belonged to normal version
Also both twilight missions I complained were easier than

I'd enjoy the game way more if depleting a bosses stamina bar didn't feel like a massive fucking punishment. Enjoy your spooky black zone with barely any ki regen.

They will do that eventually anyway even if you don’t deplete their ki gauge

>book of reincarnation says that it resets your skills
>it doesn’t
Well ok then

Yokai realm is a really shit and boring mechanic, yeah.

>Enjoy your spooky black zone with barely any ki regen.
just barrier talisman that shit

pc when

people trying to get summoned, do owl

I forget how it was changed, but you can still reset. Might have to do with going to the dojo, but easier to just look it up

Can a weapon only do one element of damage at a time? Like if a weapon has and imbued lightning and I use a fire amulet it on it does it burn and paralyze or does it just use the stronger effect only?

Any tips on efficient/fast omnyo proficiency gain?

yeah, only one element of damage for the weapon. However, you can still apply multiple status effects on a single target which really fucks them up

snake is the only boss I have consistently been able to beat strangely, I remember him being hard as balls in the beta but I think part of it is everyone is still trying new things by that point in the game so they are weaker on average
I noticed specifically that switchglaive is not great against him

that boss will teach you how to block and burst counter since they are so easy to land on him so he is good to use for the coop gate stuff

What is barrier talisman, sacred water, -40% ki regen penalty in yokai skill tree, soul cores, and accessories.

Use talismans
Then attack spells

You guys like my character? So can you name your character and I completely missed it or no?

>didn't get my preorder code for the demon horde armor and PS4 themes
>contact amazon through online chat because I figured they could just type the code in or something
>deal with them bouncing me between 3 different departments through online chat for 15 minutes
>last one tells me to call a CS line he posted
>deal with them bouncing me between 5 different departments for 30 minutes
>last one says they'll email me a solution within 24 hours, he'll call me again within 24 hours to make sure I got the email
>amazon tells me that I placed the order in January of 2018(?) and that I don't qualify for the preorder
>suggested I return the special edition and repurchase it even though preorder codes are always sent via email and THE FUCKING GAME IS ALREADY OUT
>never got a followup phonecall
>my dlc for completing the alpha disappeared
Someone send help

Im having more trouble with the stupid ass blacksmith errand SIDE QUEST than i did to the stupid ass snake. I only died to the snake twice and i beat the yokai in the graveyard second try but this piece of shit level has killed me 15 times before i even make it to the boss.

Post your character code now

What is the consensus on yokai and blessed weapons?

you can name your character design, but It doesnt affect gameplay and is just for organizing desgins. Also congrats, your currently the winner for most fucked character Ive seen so far

Anyone who complains about snake or owl is absolutely retarded.

Get 200 toughness, get some life, keep it below 70% equip load. You shouldn't be panicking that every scratch is bringing you to near death, and you should be able to reliably block. If you REALLY need to evade, sheath your weapon or go into mid and use dash-rolls

yokai are the best since you can have a demon sword waifu

Both are good, pretty much light and dark element, corruption against humans and purity against yokai

i had the exact same issue until i talked to the scythe girl a second time and realised shes supposed to help you fight everything.

Dodge the snake's spin, end up five feet to the right of it. Still get hit by it.
Fucking great hitboxes.

What ninjutsu skill is supposed to make it so good? All of the abilities I have tried (shadow arts, shuriken, kunai, caltrops, gunpowder bomb) are pretty meh

Omfg thanks man

Thanks bro, I didn't realize I wanted the creator until playing the game. Great sequel so far

I use paralytic groundfire, heron feathers, poison bomb whatevers, catwalking and stealth

Attached: ESEYlXaXYAE_mmf.jpg (3840x2160, 443.84K)

I dont think its really one single skill that break ninjutsu. In Nioh 1, you broke shit by stacking gear that enhanced ninjutsu power which made you kill nearly everything with just a few kunai or shuriken

Wondering this as well, they don't do any damage. Seems like a meme.

wtf i've been playing for 30 hours straight

Shadow arts do a million damage to yokai with no ki

>get to Kamaitachi
>still a fun hectic fight but still fairly easy due to how the game's balance is skewed
>except they took out the stagger opportunity from hitting his weakpoint before his attacks entirely
>despite his moveset being largely designed around it
So he got Nue'd. It's almost funny at this point.
Fast and defensive with a lot of constant attacking and parrying/dodge options, in contrast to how Tonfa is focused on offense. Not a single weapon in the game is bad.
He's easier. The game's systems are all vastly easier in comparison to the Beta, which trickles down to everything.

Ippon Datara is relatively fair now, though it is still extremely good. All the nerfs mean you can generally only use it sparingly.
Yes, enjoy the zone that hardly does anything to your Ki regen, makes Yokai Realms turbo charge said Ki regen, while also buffing the shit out of your Anima gain and Yokai Skills allowing you to smack the shit out of the boss who gets barely anything except an even heavier damage window and knockdown after you murder their Ki for free.

Divination talismans are probably the most fire and forget, however they appear to be bugged. Which is fucking annoying because I always made big use of them to grab all the loot, so now I have to Temper sensors on everything.

I wish I had level 1 versions of each because they're too cool but using any level-appropriate weapon just breaks the game.
