He was right in every way except for his idea to cull the weak. This was the ultimate reason why Raiden didn't agree with him; Armstrong, as a powerful rich figure, could not objectively decide who the 'weak' are.

Sam's "blood of your enemies" speech from the prologue is pretty memorable, Sundowner at the very least also has "I'M FUCKIN INVINCIBLE" and "THE GOOD OLD DAYS AFTER 9/11", Monsoon is shouting memeworthy shit at you all throughout his battle, and even Raiden himself gets a few decent quotes like "guess you better arrest me then" and "I think it's time for Jack to LET 'ER RIP".
They're no "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN" but to say the rest of the game has no quotable lines is flat out wrong.

The only, I repeat ONLY reason that Raiden didn't join Armstrong was because he, coming from a poor background, knew that you couldn't judge weakness by circumstance. Armstrong himself slightly agrees with this, pointing out that Raiden was an example to be followed; one who, by his own strength, rose above his humble origins. But he believes Raiden to be an exception to the rule, and a social system can't be based on an exception.

That was where they fundamentally disagreed. Raiden lost his regard for the law when it hindered him from rescuing the kids brains, and began to believe in might makes right like Armstrong, but he wasn't willing to automatically assume that the poor and downtrodden were weak by default.

The interesting thing is that despite everything that happens in the game, Armstrong WINS. He loses the fight and dies, but he passes his ideology on to Raiden, who only minorly alters it to make room for exceptions like himself and then carries it on.

Legitimately one of the best video game villains

Am I the only one who felt weirdly, I dunno, fatherly about Sunny? Like, I was genuinely happy to see her doing well and being more outgoing and happy than she was in MGS4.

Because so many gamers around the globe have these beliefs as they are so weak themselves they can do nothing but cope. So they take a pretty good game and meme it into oblivion.

Before this game came out, they were planning a live action commercial for it that would have actually had actors portraying some of the characters from the game. Not just those flashback shorts from Raiden's point of view, but like multiple characters acting out a scene. They put out a casting call and everything. I actually wanted to audition for Jetstream Sam since he was one of the characters they were casting for, but it seems like they scrapped the idea before they even got to casting and went with that commercial about the guy having a bad day or whatever. I can only imagine how fucking hilarious it would have been if they had gone with the original idea. Imagine a bunch of random goobers in full sponsored cosplay advertising Metal Gear Rising.

Please tell me you have an idea of who has the original scripts.

Unfortunately no, I don't think that was ever publicly released. I only got the descriptions saying what looks they wanted actors to have for each character. They specifically mentioned Raiden and Sam by name, as well as an unnamed character that I think would have been Sundowner based on the description they were looking for.
