I was under the impression that using shortcuts for supers would do less damage than doing the actual inputs - but, in the free practice, the damage amount displayed seems to be the same. Is it not a thing or does it only trigger for longer combos or something?

my friend decide to main her so every game basically went either I get shot to death from full screen or hes dead in the corner
lately he get better at blocking too so its really pain in the ass to beat him since if he manage to jump over to roll away from corner I have to work it all over again to get in close

I try to do the forward roll to dodge an arrow and try to clip him with L.H into Ex.Zerreissen which usually net over 2k damage with the orb

The only supers that scale in damage from shortcut are fastiva's grabs (for obvious reasons) and lowain's chip damage. Shortcut also reduces invincibility time as opposed to full motion.

zeta's projectile literally beats all projectiles except for percival, because his has a startup. if they try to zone you, just zone back and watch them give up

I'm pretty sure you can neutralize projectiles with it.
Also her Knee Assault after Rhapsody will probably help you to close the gap by jumping over some projectiles (I think you can even input j.22X to attack mid air after it).

Yes. Zeta completely shuts down any zoning strategy thatv ses projectiles. Meteras will have no choice but to use jumoing projectiles and leaping to you. Use this to close the gap or anti air them when they become impatient

just be patient and lowblock and react to things
or yolo jump yourself to dodge his craps
or grab him and switch side with him when hes on minus or just command grabs
or keep charging the tackle and let it loose the moment you see the gap in his offense or simply go under when he jump
or 22L into U to armor through them
or mash L into 214H

Metera has two types of horizontal projectiles. afaik Zeta's laser will nullify the ones that fly low, but not the ones that fly at head level.

This is not a delay based problem. You need to practice doing it consistently so that it's etched into your muscle memory. You're probably relying on seeing the hits happen, on screen before your brain says "now do the special move" and fucking it up. You have to eliminate the thought process between doing the combo and ending it with a special move.

Works on Metera's j.H reliably. It only sucks vs really good jump ins like Ferry's j.H which 3x out of 5 you'll get CH'd

Yes, people will say that you need to work more on her than other characters for the same results, but she is still simple compared to a normal fighting game character. She is actually one of the most interesting to play.
