Decent game. Shitty ending.

decent game. amazing ending.

>EGS

Amazing game. Amazing ending

Even more amazing OST. youtube.com/watch?v=EPi25G4FonY

The closest a game will ever come to capturing the feeling of reading a good sci fi novel while still being a game.

GOTD

2nd favorite game of 2019, behind Bug Fables.

Masterful music and mechanics.
Wish more people knew about it.

>Ending is literally just "IT WUZ ALL A DREAMMMM!!!"

made me love video games again

iz me

i forgot to say this

What? It wasn't. Are you retarded?
You and your buddies restart the universe because it was coming to an end.

overhyped walking simulator. pretty sure all its fanboys are literally retarded.

#2 behind disco elysium for 2019 for me. take from that what you will

Yeah, right after you walked across space, without needing air.
If you didn't get the "You're dead" part of that hallucination, I dunno what to tell you.

Oh yeah. That existed.
Hah, anyway...

>You take out the power core
>Music Stops
>OHFUCKOHSHIT OHFUC

>Bug Fables
looks cool, legitimately have never heard of this game before now. Worth buying now, or picking up on sale?

>walking sim
>there is jumping
>and puzzles
>and damage, both suit and body, as well as repairable ship damage
>and fucking 3 dimensional flight mechanics with simplified newtonian physics

I really loved the alpha when it was free. When it comes to steam I'll buy it. I could pirate it, but for a game this good I'd rather not.

Next to Prey 2017, Bloodborne, and Ori 2 it's probably my favorite game to come out in the last 10 years

really like how the black hole/teleporting stuff works

bad weather world is really scary

still haven't beaten it yet, I got stuck a few months ago and stopped playing. Had a lot of fun while I was playing though

I want to fuck the cute Tali goat stuck on the wandering moon

Fantastic game. Bittersweet ending. Second favorite game of last year behind Sekiro, barely edging out Ace Combat and DMC5.

>not getting the ending this hard
Jesus, dude. The proof it wasn't just a vain death is the probe flying past the end credits, if you shot it through the hole.

>Gender Neutral pronouns.
>EGS
>Walking simulator
Sounds like trash.

That song is the essence of comfy. It sounds like how camping in the autumn woods with the campfire roaring feels.

What did you get stuck doing?

It's an amazing game if you like Paper Mario style rpgs, it starts a bit slow and the puzzles are pretty hard but it's a masterpiece. and the ost is amazing

nice game, shitty fish

did bug fables ever get the publisher mess sorted out?

I kept dying to a stupid blue explosion after walking around on the stupid timber planet for half an hour. Gay as shit, 0/10

I assumed they were gender neutral because the race reproduced asexually or something. Because certain characters for pronouns. EGS cant be argued unfortunately. And it's far from a walking simulator.

>playing with the black hole probe demonstration
>keep fucking with it trying to get it to glitch
>youtu.be/r1OtwZ0yJaA
>fuck fuCK FUCK

it's on ps4 too if that's an option

There's kinda no proof dangen fucked them over minus the one other guy that got their game published with them. Don't believe every manic shitposter on the internet.

I think it was either exploring the ship being destroyed at the beginning or the sand area

>Visit a bunch of planets.
>Interact with NPCs who have like 5 lines of dialogue.
>Ending has you meeting up with all your "Friends" and playing dumb instruments.
Why the fuck would I give a shit about these random faggots I spoke to for like 2 minutes?
One of them I didn't even speak to at all.

Shitty ripoff obviously trying to cash in on The Outer Worlds

I see. There's really only two necessary steps to finishing the game. The others just help you find the steps. Basically keep exploring. When I got stuck I would just continue filling out the little chart in the ship.

>499363835
this shitty bait doesn't even deserve a (You)

thanks user, I'll jump back into it and see if I can't figure it out

Recall the rule of the sixth position.

>grab core
>Go to dark bramble
>Move slow as fuck on a time limit

Shit had me nervous I would fuck up and lose it all all the way through

If you want a hint: The Ash Twin and Dark Bramble are the only required planets to visit when finishing the game.

Reddit scientist turning into a pickle was my favorite part.

Guys, I need help. I put a probe on the Quantum Moon to try and track it but for some reason, one out of every six times I try to look for where my probe went, I get a probe signal that's like, several hundred km's away, down and offset far away from the star system. What am I doing wrong?

It's a walking simulator. The 'puzzles' are obtuse shit with literally 0 logic behind them. Damage doesn't happen unless you're literally retarded. The ebin Redditonian physics are literally never utilised in gameplay.

the moon is in its secret sixth position way outside of the system.

thanks for that user, guess in hindsight I was on the right track after all

>watching youtube play outer wilds for the first time
>he goes to attlerock and reads the little blurb about the hearthians spotting a 'wandering moon'
>'what the hell are they talking abou-'
>Wandering moon literally crosses the horizon right then, inciting freakout

>admitting you're too stupid to figure out the puzzles in Outer Wilds

Great game. I was kind of a brainlet and googled some of the solutions though. Getting into Ash Twin for example and what to do on quantum moonAnyone have recommendations for ones like it? Open world, exploration focused, great story.

This is true aside from reaching the ash twin core. Every other puzzle makes good sense and gives some hints, but that one is just stupid and senseless. Shouldn't you be able to teleport in at so many other times than when the ember twin is overhead? There is no other situation where they explain teleportation to the same planet you started on. That is the one badly designed moment in the entire game.

I agree with the ash twin puzzle being the only one that really felt like it was unclear what was needed from the player. Especially since the first time the sand sucked me up and I spent another hour or so looking for the solution realizing I just had to jump in after the sand was overhead, not wait for it.

it makes sense because the nomai records state that the twins were treated as a single alignment. pointing at ember twin is effectively the same as pointing at ash twin.

Did you know your ship can explode??

Maybe if they had it start working but then fail as you got pulled out to indicate you're on the right track, I'd be fine with it.
Alright that's fair enough, though it still feels weird.

only game discussed on Yas Forums where people use spoiler tags correctly

Yeah the player's race are just fish people who don't exhibit sexual dimorphism; the Nomai are mammals who do.

Loved it. Fantastic all the way though and some really creative mechanics and puzzles
