You wouldn't think so considering it looks like shitty shovelware or flash game, but it's super motivational and really drags you into their world with it's presentation.

I've only played Style Savvy Styling Star but I was surprised how in depth it was. It even came with dozens of characters each with their own personal stories you get to follow as you progress.
Doesn't let you play a male character which is fucking stupid especially since the previous owner of the boutique you run was your uncle so it's not like they're even saying "Men can't own boutiques."
Maybe they'll let you choose a male protagonist in the next game.

Even way back in an interview with Iwata for the second game the devs acknowledged that there were more men than they anticipated who enjoyed the game, which is why they added men's fashion in that one. Kinda strange they never made the connection that some of those guys would want to play as a guy themselves.

Trendsetters had more focus on the clothing. Fashion Forward has more customization options and is real time. Styling Star has a stronger focus on story plus the most to do albeit with limited customization.

The fashion shows were really fun in Trendsetters. I really missed them going forward.

So basically they are all worth it for different reasons, damn it, I wanted to focus on a single one to get ALL CLOTHES.

Fashion shows were fun but it all boiled down to make the characters look like fucking clowns as long as they get matching style clothes, I don't think the game ever considered patters or colors for those.

What absolutely killed the game for me was how difficult it was to take pictures at the photo studio, it was horribly inefficient. Back when Trendsetters came out there were a decent number of late night threads about here with people posting their pictures, but I hardly remember any for FF, and while SS turned around and had the best picture system by far the momentum here had kinda died as far as I could tell.

That is Trendsetters, the photo studio, especially with the AR card support was good.

When the demo for Styling Star (top) came out I made this to check the visuals against the third game, Fashion Forward (bottom), the cel shading really did help that game pop.

Yes probably soon. Syn Sophia pretty much only does on Girls Mode and Pretty series. Though they might be doing a new wrestling game. We are about two and a half years from 4 which was the time frame between 3 and 4. Which was the shortest amount of time between games unless you count the year between Tokimeki Up and 3. I don’t really get why people question if there will be a new one so often. I guess cause the time between release of 3 and 4 here was so short.
