Venom should have been its own campain unlocked after clearing Spidey's tutorial with the player being free to choose which character use whenever he wants, THEN clearing Spider-Man's campain should have unlocked the black suit for Spidey and clearing Venom's campain should have unlocked Carnage as the third OP character to have fun with

It's because the suit has to be tailored to someone's DNA for them to use it safely, and the samples of the suit Peter and Eddie used were tailored to Richard Parker's DNA (which is why Peter didn't have to eat people while wearing it, but still risked losing control).

I distinctly remember that this game only had like one combo string you did over and over and over as Venom. Animation got really repetitive.
The whole game felt insanely barebones, a real shame since it had some very cool ideas and additions from SM2.

Is it me or does Spidey ps4 web swinging feels too restricted? I finally gave it another try after playing Spider-Man 2 for the first time, and it felt off. Like how starting a swing from the ground makes you automatically move forward really fast. Does any one else have this feeling? Also, how would you improve the inevitable sequel

no its pretty restricted so the normies can get a cinematic experience. That said, I still had fun especially when you start mixing point launches and wall running.
Sequel needs to add a system like SM2 where there is a normie mode and actual gameplay mode where game's physics are consistent and aren't twisted to aid the player. They also need to add two hand web-swinging like in SM2 and actual web physics, pendulum arcs, and centripetal forces. Remember in Sm2 when you could use literal physics to boost around a building because the webs didn't automatically break like in smps4? Yeah. Though I doubt we will see these things, nu-Insomniac isn't great at making good gameplay and I doubt they will change much cuz the normies loved the first game.

I was also worried that the obnoxious fans would turn the devs away from adding the suit at all, but since they added it (in a free update no less) I think the odds of it being in the sequel are pretty high. The black suit being in depends on what Venom's role in the sequel is actually gonna be, but if there's gonna be Symbiote Spidey then I hope the Raimi black suit is an option for it.
