So, do you guys have any ideas on what you're going to try playing next season? I'm getting a little weary of burning through all my cards in the first two turns, so I think after the reset, I'll attempt to build a deck with a better control/grind game.
I'm gonna go for whatever feels the best out of what my starting deck has.
But if I'm confident I can complete Aromages I'm tempted to hurt myself again
I'm using mostly fire monsters now, so next I'll try wind or maybe water.
Probably gonna go for majespecters and/or windwitches
Maybe either trains, psychics or monarchs. Last season I was confined to either overlay the boat and pray that no battle traps would cuck me from a dora or gustav or spend a jizukiro and a zielgigas to make a train that would get wrecked easily.

I'd like something that was around when I was still playing, Maldoches or Ayyliens maybe. I do slightly worry that they'll be so powercreeped by the newer stuff that most of my duels end up being losses, tho

I want to try out pends. I got used to xyz on my first deck, links on this one, and now I need to figure out how pendulums work.
On that note, does anyone know a good archetype for pendulums? I kind of want to do magicians since I used them a bit before, but there aren't a whole lot of them so maybe it's not the best idea for a radon format
pends themselves aren't good for a random format, and any backrow removal will shut you down instantly.

If you're a complete madman you can go for lunalights or a more safe approach, performapals. Qliphorts are an option too but you wont be swarming any fields with mr5.
Of course, but getting dabbed on repeatedly is usually anything but fun. Then again, that Ritual chad still has a strong resolve..
If there's any charmers in the deck, I'll probably end up trying to get all of them again. Or maybe I'll try building one of the World Legacy archetypes. Maybe multiple at the same time.

Pendulums are like rituals. They need consistency in order to function properly, so inherently, the entire mechanic isn't exactly ideal for a randomized highlander format.
Still, there's a bunch of decks out there. Igknights, Qliphorts, Metalfoes, Dinomists, etc.
