In regards to /c/-posting, I think it's interesting how you can find so much fan art that doesn't contain any established characters like the idols and/or agents. You can basically have a squid OC and unlike any other franchise, nobody will bat an eye at it. It's like people have fallen in love with the concept and aesthetic of Splatoon itself (myself included).

they should be used to pick off low health players, not one shot. IMO snipers are overtuned in a lot of games, and I don't think splatoon really works with that style of sniper. It'd be much more fun to have on both sides if their role is to finish off low health enemies, or get in a bit of early damage if your team is about to pounce. It encourages team play and reduces the amount of oneshot frustration while still letting them be super useful across the full length of the map. I don't think it takes too much away from them, and still gives the other side a big incentive to shut them down/force them to give up their position.

Octos can easily be used as stand-ins for black people(Marina is very dark-skinned) while the squids vice-versa are used as white(Pearl being a wigger, Callie and Marie are light skinned, etc). A portion of that general just likes Splatoon, too.

When I want to shoot a lot at my enemy or paint turf, other shooters have continuous fire by holding down the button. To get the same effect with the L3, I have to mash the button a lot. That's probably why I'm not that keen on brushes either.
I don't have a problem with the "hold to charge, then release" that splatlings have, though. It's really just the L3 I don't like.
