Not him, but ATLAS+Mecab were the most popular combo for parcing+dictionary. Not even close to perfect, it fails to grab any kanji that's not commonly used rather often. Maybe something better exists now.

Debating on which to play right now, actually. With VNs I play things that aren't pure VN. I hate dating sims and kinetic novels are even less of a video game than visual novels are.

I played Odd Waters the other day. Not quite VN but it has a similar vibe and the bridging location movement is Phantom Hourglass style map/stylus finangling.
I also replayed the demos for Quantum Suicide recently.
