>YouTuber I watch put this game below the Yakuza shithouse games

But he is a no taste DMCfag (I like DMC but generally these people have shit taste I've found)

Not on anything that isn't made by Microsoft.
And no, the PS3 ports aren't the same.

It promotes blacks

I cant

Agreed. Needs a re-release on a current generation console. Or PC

is that cvit? he's a fuckin moron lol the guy complaioned about platforming even though ryu's movement is so ideal for platforming. When he complained about NG needing pausing combos is where I had to turn off the video. I love dmc a lot but dmcfags are fuckin miserable

you can play it on 360/xbone i think

>complaioned about platforming

Literally staying true to the original NES game and also adding something to character action games, otherwise they're flat boring garbo like DMC4

Been playing Dark Souls for the first time, and its exploration reminds me of why I liked NGB so much

Added Ninja Dog (easy mode).

the camera

It's old.

The camera. But it doesn’t hurt the game in the end.

why is sigma so much worse. I dont remember much differences besides rachel and absence of puzzles

One X will even play it at 4K.

I don't like a lot of the enemies

if we're really nitpicking then the swinging is very awkward sometimes because of forced cameras that make it hard to tell what directions you're supposed to holding to swing/turn etc

How exactly would the game look scaled up like that, though? I don’t plan to buy an xbonerx just to play this game again though.

Any tips for emulating NG3RE? Already finished 1 and 2 and since it crashes on startup on RPCS3 I guess I should try cemu

Stuck on the xbox

some enemies and bosses had moves removed to make them easier also there's no combo counter

yeah that guy is a fuckin idiot. he also complained about the harder difficulties when never having played them. His entire 1 hour video seems like it was made to shit on the game as he spent 10 minutes talking about NGB and the rest shitting on NG2 and NG3. NG3 I understand but he played NG2 on normal and just shat on the game like a fuckin scrub.

Also you are spot on. I was thinking about how DS1 takes a lot of inspiration from NGB.
>Interesting enemy placements/ambushes
>dragon statues acting as the sole checkpoints
>interconnected world
>focus on challenging gameplay
Based Itagaki changed the game

You need an Xbox of some sort to play it

its a game whose main theme are ninjas. this is a massive flaw, since people who find ninjas cool are complete and absolute retards

>FROM tries ripping off Ninja Gaiden but don't do it right (too many bosses)
>It's shit
>Do another game that's sorta ripping off Ninja Gaiden but focuses on both its strengths (bosses and exploration)
>They succeed and it's based

Kinda funny.

They also added some bosses like gamov who is a fuckin pain on harder difficulties when you're stuck playing rachel. You also fight a stronger version of that fat cyborg soldier from the airship and in the magma lake area, you fight two fire centipedes. All and All, I think NGB and NGS are pretty much at the same tier for me. NGS2 on the other hand is a huge fuckup and hayashit shouldve never made another game again.

>souls took inspiration from Ninja Gaiden
Yas Forums keeps surprising me

Attached: Wojak dribble 2.png (211x239, 5.9K)

It's not on pc so I can play it again

>Make a bad cash in game on NG with Ninja Blade
>DUH WHY WOULD FROM CONTINUE RIPPING OFF NGB?

One of the big tells of inspiration is just the amount of weapons in Dark Souls ala Ninja Gaiden with their own animations that can really change up fights.

Never heard of this game, but I am tempted to try it cuz I do love FROM. Funny thing is DS1 happened to be at the right place at the right time. Video games were either becoming increasingly easy or were full of dudebro cod shooters every year. Then DS1 came, word of mouth spread and even journos had to praise the game in order to not look like fuckin scrubs and the game became a critical and commercial success. Not that I dont love the game, but its really not that hard if you compare it NGB and stuff from that era.

>no combo counter
You mean this combo counter, right?

>initial concept for Demon's Souls came from FromSoftware's King's Field series, with Miyazaki citing its dark tone and high difficulty as the main inspirations for the game. Despite these inspirations, Miyazaki did not want to connect Demon's Souls to King's Field, and despite his urging otherwise many have termed the game as a spiritual successor to King's Field. Miyazaki hoped to take gaming back to its basics, creating a challenging gameplay-based experience he felt was dying out in the gaming market of the time. He wanted to create a game which would recreate the dark fantasy and hardcore feel of classic RPG titles (such as the King's Field and Wizardry series) on modern consoles, along with incorporated online elements. Miyazaki acknowledged some similarities to other video games such as Monster Hunter and Bushido Blade, but said the team did not have any specific video game influences in mind when creating Demon's Souls
You're a fucking retard. Ninja Blade and Souls weren't helmed by the same people

>Never heard of this game, but I am tempted to try it cuz I do love FROM.

Feel free to give it a try, but IMO, it's neither a good character action or a good FROM game

Everything except the combat.

It has so many generic video game tropes that it's laughable.

its shit

Ninja Gaiden came out before Monster Hunter. QED

all to easy.
>black

NG is shit in general, your point?

What the fuck does that have to do with anything? Ninja Blade and Demon's Souls came out within a month of each other. They were made by completely different teams in From. There's no evidence that Ninja Gaiden reboot had any influence on Souls

Attached: 1558746202377.jpg (1857x789, 100.86K)

does anybody actually use the counter technique? I feel like the payoff isn't worth the risk of standing and trying to counter while being vulnerable from other enemies

Ninja Gaiden came out before NB and Demon Souls. Man you are stupid.

Not him, but souls definitely has a lot of elements reminiscent of NG. It may not be direct inspiration per se but playing souls made me think about NG a lot.

Playing NG unironically made me think about DMC2

no it isnt

maybe you just have shit taste? idk user NG and DMC2 shouldn't be used in the same sentence like that

>game came out before other game so one must have had an influence on the other
How mentally deficient do you have to be?
If you feel that way that's fine. I can't think of any examples right now but I've had that feeling with media and entertainment before as well. I just think it's ridiculous to say that NG had an influence on Souls when there's literally nothing to support that claim

I can kind of see where he's coming from with the aesthetic. I doubt he's saying that NG reminds him of DMC2 because he thinks they're both good games

>>game came out before other game so one must have had an influence on the other
>How mentally deficient do you have to be?

Citizen Kane is a big inspiration in how movies are made/directed, even if the directors themselves don't explicitly say that.

How mentally deficient are you?

Non-counterable throws that certain enemies start spamming on the highest difficulties.
Also, the camera in a few spots.

>comparing NG reboot to citizen kane
Look, I like NG too, but it wasn't some seminal title that changed the face of gaming

NG4 when? Take the level design from 1, combat from 2, bosses from a mix of 1 and 2, take steel on bone from NG3:razors edge and get some good writers for the story/dialogue and in this current atmosphere where challenging games have a good audience and the "critics" can't just shit on them for being too hard for them, the game can be a huge success.

I still haven't played a character action game as good so it basically has

counters are pretty much essential on master ninja

>YouTuber I watch
there's your problem

no manual lock on, fuck having to rely on fate to decide what ryu is going to target if there are 2 or more mooks in a room

>quality means influence
I like Resident Evil 2 more than the original, but is it as influential? Definitely not. Go back to education, god knows you need it

Team Ninja don't have it in them. I mean look at Nioh. They can get certain things but they're incapable of making a game that's great on all fronts

The levels are shit and the fixed camera is shit.

look sick. I am a scrub and have never attempted above very hard but I for some reason never got the timing right for the counter so i just dodge and punish instead. i need to fuckin git gud

why do people say play this and not sigma? what are the differences?

Attached: shit taste.jpg (5096x2111, 3.99M)

>rachel who is objectively garbage to play with
>replaces ""puzzles"" with combat rooms
>more savepoint and shops
>adds some new bosses
thats it
