How do they even improve on the first one?

pretty easily. it was a 7/10 at best once all the updates came out.

Aside from the quest system, it feels like it's better than the original in every way lad.

How are they gonna fuck it up? Looks fine from what's shown.

When is it coming out ffs

>"coming soon"
>9 monts ago
They better make it 3 times as good as the original

sloped surfaces

No point in worrying when the game isn't even out yet

she's right

Less backtracking

Are these people literally drones?

People are pathetically stupid holy shit PLEASE DONT CATER TO THESE FUCKING IDIOTS

"people" this fucking stupid deserve to be filtered

Brainlets got F I L T E R E D

Hornet has more combat techniques and seems to have subweapons, HKs combat was pretty simplistic by comparison.

Upthrust and downslash have been around since Zelda II. Git good zoomer

I know it's going to suck because the devs can't draw or animate for shit.. or program satisfying gameplay.
the game is a meme. you try actually playing it and it's worse than a bad flash game.

Ah yes, every single reviewer that gave this game a high score and almost 3 milion people that bought it are apparently wrong
Thanks for reminding user

From what I've seen of the demo it seems the backgrounds are as dull and grey as ever, the combat is still too easy and the game is designed as dishonestly as ever

But how
I'm not some great gaming guru but even I'm not this stupid

I’m just glad that their expansions have all been aimed around making the game harder, so brainlets like these won’t be catered to.

imagine watermarking a screenshot of someone else's game

Sexy Horney fanservice

This

So like Hornet taking off the poncho?

hornet can only be cute

Yes and bending over while doing it

And she needs to suck on lace's tits.

How about this? It never got explained and people got stuck. If you didn't read this on the internet or something chances are you got stuck

Lacey bra and panties

I don't think it went down to a 7/10 with the bad DLC but yeah, it was a 10/10 on release and the DLC was all of lower quality. I'm sure Silksong will be good though, Team Cherry has shown they know how to make a great Metroidvania, it's just that Metroidvanias work in such a way that adding new content to them doesn't work without redoing most of the game.

Well it has a quest system. So I hope you enjoy fetching and even more backtracking.

No matter how much worse than HK it ends up being, at least it's guaranteed it's better than any Ori turd Moon studios shits out.

Tell the doctor where Ori touched you user. Don't be afraid

it's you again
what exactly was it about hk that made you try to make people dislike it through your autistic behavior

Hollow Knight is an intermediate level game. With expert level side content. I don't blame all the noobs for sucking at the game. Because they're noobs. They buy the game because it looks cute, not realizing that it's actually a challenge. They should start with easier action-adventure games first. And work their way up to Hollow Knight.

I see this shit on twitch all the time. People starting Hollow Knight with little to zero experience with action or navigation. And then they get lost forever, or stuck forever, and quit the game around Hornet. Or, they actually push on and continue playing, but every stream of there is excruciating, as they struggle to do even the most basic things.

Yas Forums is jaded, and I'm sure at least a couple of you are poised to tell me how easy the game is. But think back on your experience, and how you already had and understanding of action oriented games prior to hollow knight. You now take that skill for granted.

>get stuck at first area that requires upward or downward slashes
>OMG the devs should have put an area before this one that required me to do this so id know how to do it now!!!

lmao, they would have just failed even earlier in the game.

the entire point of games is to figure them out and to overcome the challenges assembled by the creator(s). the limited curiosity that drives this type of learning is the same thing that motivated you to take apart things to see how they worked when you were a kid. and what we see repeatedly is that shitters will turn to blaming the game when they are forced to experience anything besides uninterrupted progression through a game. it's certainly not limited to hollow knight.

The funniest part is that the devs actually did put in an optional area in the greenpath that lets you figure it out.
The idiot clearly missed it

Oh wow an Indie exploration platformer with overly saturated colors that's bright as hell! I've never seen that before

>if I hit things with my sword I get backwards momentum
>I can slash downwards when I jump
>I now get upwards moment
You have to be a complete brainlet not to figure this one out, sure you can argue people who grew up in the NES-SNES and 64 era when games where made deliberatly hard to extend game time have developed a certain understanding. But this litteraly is just connecting the dots and experimenting.

How the fuck even, I play games fairly casualy and I figured this out in the first minutes by just experimenting with movement and attacks, are these people litteraly retarded.
Heck my boomer dad could beat dark souls and he did retarded shit like beat the asylum demon with the broken sword.

>and he did retarded shit like beat the asylum demon with the broken sword.
Your dad is hardcore

Even disregarding the knock back, the game already shows you via the breakable walls, geo mounds, switches, hanging blocks and grub cases that hitting stuff is the go to when you want to interact with the world.
If you get stuck, you absolutely should assume that the way out is to hit things until something changes. Nobody with a brain should be stuck on that area for long

Yeah hornet will suck my dick

He bites down on hard shit he has committed too, and after dying to the demon once he committed to killing him then and there. Took a good few tries.

My dad couldn't even beat the glide-hover tutorial from Spyro 2...

I secretly loved it every time Hornet told me to get good.

Bringing back Bretta as a trainable ally.

*meant for

Lack of total imagination and being used to having everything spelled out for you. But even that doesn't fuly explain how anyone could be this retarded and still be able to write or hold a controller.

A bunch of people are reading this thread thinking, "yeah... you'd have to be really stupid to not hit the mushrooms" while sweating.

My dad used to play a lot in the arcades when he was younger might have something to do with it.

How do you not figure that out? hitting an enemy pushes you back. Try and have some fun for christ sakes and stop just cruising through the game.

If they did I dont give a shit as long as they dont act like entitled twits and whine on social media about it.

There is a difference to not figuring out you must pogo there and only trying when you exhausted all other routes/options. And not knowning it is a mechanic in this game.

I think its a cop-out to have a sequel in a different kingdom when we have explored the entire world.
What were the people in the next door kingdom doing while a literal god slowly took over the world? Just sat around and watched and didn't experience any difficulty. Either set the game in the same world many years later, or don't make a sequel.

Adding onto this, there are loads of enemies that fly in the intro stages of the game. I think the first enemy you fight is a flying enemy. The game is trying really hard to teach you that you can swing up by making you go "hey, you know what would be convenient?" This combined with knockback is all you should need to figure this out. The game actually did a great job teaching you these mechanics without outright telling you.

They're mostly thinking
>mfw I'm not stupid enough to get filtered by a fucking mushroom

>overly saturated colors that's bright as hell
Where?
You just want a (you) or you genuinely never played/saw the game?

there are also floor spikes in the tutorial area.
