X8 is, by a large margin, the second worst X game.
X7 is obviously the worst. X6 has aggravating braindead design at times, but it is nowhere near as dogshit as X7/8 are.
Megaman General #31

this is not a general you fuck

protip: they're not his children in japan
Mega Man General #31: Boy Sluts Edition.
Previous thread:
You keep telling yourself that
mega man 7 is the most fun classic game
axl isn't a bad character, it's just that the game he debuted in sucked and his english dub sucks. his abilities aren't bad
not very controversial
I would say the fanbase is roughly split halfway between "X8 is dogshit" and "X8 about as good as X4". So that pretty solidly counts as controversial.
???
Best girl!
yet 110 of them are awful
How'd you come up with that number?
>excited monkey in the middle
subtle.
Of fucking course. But that does not change the fact that someone made the original X Zero gameplay which later Inti polished to a never seen before height.
And we will never know who it was.
>130 games
Defend this, megafags.
forgot my bait image
>was actually really liking ZX
>mfw Area K
why are there barely any Mega Man games without THAT level
Someone who probably doesn't work there anymore, considering all the trash Inti's put out since
wrong. 11 classic, 3, legends, 4 zero, 2 zx, 8 x, 3 sf and 6 bn. plus 8 other handheld. that makes 45
the water temple in legends 2 is unforgivable.
also roll caskett is perfection
Mega Man 7 is superior to the X trilogy and is one of the best SNES games.
zero 1 doesn't deserve the hate it gets
area k is fine on 2nd playthrough
Am I autistic for getting really into the lore of Megaman? I know the individual games stories are all simple and just excuses to have a blue guy jump and shoot at things, but I find the world super interesting and I really like the characters.
There were only two Rush forms in MM6, one in 7, and X only has a few armours per game max, often times just one extra. Visually distinct abilities would require 9 full spritesheets for Mega Man, and by the time it was probably technologically feasible, sprite fidelity had increased, meaning it would be even more work. You'll notice they even cut corners with the earlier Battle Network games, the styles have different looks, but they didn't create full sprite sheets for every style, you'll turn into recoloured normal style for pretty much any special animation, and Battle Network has (I think) fewer sprites than MM7 and 8 do for Mega Man.
>the water temple in legends 2 is unforgivable.
Everyone agrees with this. Funny enough I just got through that level a few hours ago. Absolute nightmare, worse than I remembered. I'm gonna find a mod for that shit next time.
>also roll caskett is perfection
Nice.
Citation extremely needed, even if its never said overtly, he obviously treats them like they are.
It is super autistic, but you're here so that's a given.
Just be prepared to acknowledge that the lore is hilariously inconsistent at times and don't get attached to any facts.
no
No.
I just finished Mega Man 7 half an hour ago. It was OK, but I still prefer the look and feel of the NES games. Maybe it was the huge sprites, but the platforming didn't feel quite as tight, and most of the bosses were a little too simple.
But goddamn was the Wily Machine hard, no wonder Rock wanted to blow Wily's fucking face off afterward
>tfw no mechanically inclined gf to repair you
wily machine isn't too hard but yeah wily capsule basically requires at least a couple e tanks. most people consider it the hardest final boss in classic mega man. I like the sprites a lot, and the rush fusion and protoman shield make it more fun
And yeah that's the most violent classic mega man has ever gotten, he was about to fucking kill wily and justifies it by saying he has transcended beyond being a robot.
From the last thread, an user said the Master created reaverbots, but that's not right. Reaverbots, the ruins, and refractors are connected to the Elder system, which predates the Master system, which was created by the Master and his people. They're the ones who shut down the Elder system and built the master system on top of it. The carbons are from the master system though, that's correct.
Honest question, I have Megaman X legacy collection on the Switch, is it true there is input lag? does it break the game?
see
I never noticed it but that might be because my first time playing an X game was in the collection. I heard X4 and onward are fine though.
god damn localization has always been shit, shit decades ago and shit today. here I thought mega man was slowly having a mental breakdown. but if wily says he can't harm humans then he must have been thinking of hurting him either way.
There's technically nothing wrong with Legends 2 but it feels more...I dunno anime? It's weird how 2 heavily references the first but implies everything about the first game was an outlier. Like how in the first dungeon it's all cracked and broken like the first game but then it turns out the dungeons are like self sustaining now and turn into the style used for the rest of the game. It's really fucking hard to describe. Like going into Kingdom Hearts 2 from 1 and wondering why the fuck Pete is there.
Still I liked what it does but it still felt small. Like if it was the typical length of a ps2 arpg it would have blown them out of the water.
>Couldn't beat Juno as a kid
>Come back as an adult
>"PFFT, THIS SHOULDN'T BE ANY TROUBLE AT ALL"
>Get shit pushed in multiple times
Eventually got the fucker, but damn. Remember to stay humble, Anons.
Tron is best girl.
both games feel really small because they are small despite being "open". probably due to psx limitations
I'M ON THE WIRE
I destroyed his second form with no problem. First form got a few hits in me though. He's much easier than Legends 2's final boss. FUCK that fucking laser.
I prefer MMBN 1 to 2.
So when is MML3
Sonia is best girl and I want to cum inside her ass
Absolutely.
LOL
Plenty to choose from.
You don't have to play all of it, just the ones you enjoy. For example, I fucking hate playing BN because I get bored of it in a few hours.
Area K isn't that bad though? Just go fast.
Go to the computer and slow down the lava lmao
I want a Roll series more than Legands 3 or ZX 3.
>that kid that liked Roll over Tron
Me too, BN1 is my second favorite Battle Network game after BN6, it's simplicity makes it very enjoyable for me.
What are you gonna do about it, faggot?
I was that kid
Now I want to fuck both, I'd fuck the NPCs too
Some mavericks aren't that far off from what furries seems to like, they're just mechanical instead of having actual fur.
Aside from it's soulful side quests and art style, Legends 1 isn't that good.
ASK ME ABOUT DIGITIZING MY DYING FETUS SON INTO THE INTERNET WHERE HE WILL ONLY EVER KNOW CHECKING EMAILS AND COMBAT
ALSO I MADE IT SO HE CAN FEEL PAIN FOR SOME REASON
I'm shitty at platformers so Battle Network and Star Force are the only Megaman games I've played.
How do I get good at platformers so I can enjoy Zero?
X6 is one of the best Megaman games, it's hated because is a casual filter for a lot of people.
Yes, but that's a good thing sweaty.
Protoman.EXE was really cool.
literally hitler
>tfw trying to A Rank Copy X right now
>always fuck up on his second form
help me bros...
Play Zero 3 and Zero 4, they are very easy and also the best Zero games.
Imagine being reincarnated as a walking blue leotard and literally being called a pet.
At least he has lots of digital friends.
>sweaty
I like the opening
And Alia's hips.. and the music. the gameplay sucks imo
No, learning the lore is one of the best parts of the Megaman games.
Practice. Take your time. We all had to start somewhere.
Still points his gun at him, that wasn't localized. The intent was the same.
