Honestly I'm pretty excited to try it, might play the original versions in the meantime to give it a try.
I'm zoomer as fuck so I've never played C&C and only have a little bit of RTS experience.
Couple hours in SC but I've spent a fuck ton of time playing multiplayer with a buddy of mine in Dawn of War.
That soundtrack is fucking bumping though.
Been listening to it since the trailer dropped.
remaster generals
yeah looks pretty good aside from the cutscenes they should've used machine learning for instead
Which song is it that plays at 2:30?
No Mercy
>they should've used machine learning for instead
They did, the original cutscenes are 256 color, 15 FPS, 140p resolution compressed all to shit garbage so not even AI can do much.
No Mercy

fucking zoomer, if you had lived through EA killing your favorite franchises and companies you wouldnt be making posts like this.
i am going to pirate, and then seed the fuck out of it
I wonder if they will fix vehicles getting stuck
the terrain looks off

PEACE THROUGH POWER
>might play the original versions in the meantime to give it a try.
The original game unironically runs too fast on modern hardware.
>Predicts ISIS a decade before they exist
based
>we need ideas for a building
>just make a hand bro lol
Fucking retarded
I grew up in Sweden and a teacher in our school gave a kid detention for playing C&C generals on a school computer even though playing games on comps during free periods were common. The reason was because the teacher considered it "zionist propaganda" and islamophobic. She was a real far-left type.
Only memory I have with that game
More like thanks to the devs who reached out to the community. They rode on the tails of all other games that have been remastered and still reached out to the community partly because they didn't really know how to remaster it. Not that it's a bad thing on itself but it shows that they didn't know how to remaster it, and aren't confident that they can avoid doing something like WC3R.
What happened to openRA
Thanks bros. That one and target are my favorites
>infects the free world
Nothing personal infidels. Kekekeke- *cough*
your entire country needs to be sanitized by putin, and Saab sold to Boeing to free them from cuckery.
>Tiberian Sun fully remastered
Please make it happen, eldritch gods.
I prefer Act on Instinct instead of Target, the fangame Twisted Insurrection (sequel to CnC1 Nod campaign victory) has amazing remix of it
youtube.com
It didn't predict shit, it was literally just a 9/11 game with all the sentiments of that era complete with the fearmongering of China.
>tfw you just made me discover custom campaigns exist
Any other good ones
EA actually did something right.
It's the only, and probably will only be the only, time they got something right.
Dawn of the Tiberium Age - Port of CnC1 and RA1 to TibSun Engine with new stuff including Naval units for Nod and GDI so you can play fairly against Soviets and Allies in stuff like Nod vs Soviets and shit
Twisted Insurrection - Tiberian Sun Engine fangame that acts as a sequel to CnC1 Nod Ending (as opposed to TibSun being sequel to CnC1 GDI Ending)
Mental Omega - RA2 Engine sequel to RA2
>Getting the secret ant levels unlocked
The gameplay of the original C&Cs is pretty fucking bad and dated, there's no point in remastering it
and the game was right, china fucked us over.
I never said it wasn't, just that it didn't predict anything
>sequel was about whites using ISIS to attack China
I could be mixing it with the plot of Rise of the Reds but im sure the plot was something like that.
Sequel had no plot/SP at all if you mean the cancelled Generals 2.
It was a MMO-RTS with paid Generals and paid units as well as lootboxes.
Every single tester hated it and EA cancelled it due to bad reception.
Yes im talking about generals 2 but im sure there was a couple of lines what the plot was going to be about.
Do your research, game had no SP at all planned.
In later stages it wasn't even called Generals anymore, just CnC Online and was going to have mishmash of commanders from CnC and Red Alert universes as well.

Didn't they have the masters in some dark Westwood basement or something? Not that I'm complaining.
I'm really conflicted. On one hand they systematically bought and killed studios and beloved ips for years, on the other I'd like to support the people working on the remaster since they really care about it even if it means giving money to those greedy cunts.
>Didn't they have the masters in some dark Westwood basement or something? Not that I'm complaining.
They did, those masters turned out to just be backups of the compressed game files.
They made a big official plebbit post about this on the remaster plebbit.
At least those tapes also had a lot of b-roll footage and behind the scenes so they're including everything form that as bonus gallery videos in the remaster.
>I'd like to support the people working on the remaster since they really care about it
It's being made by petroglyph, the original westwood, but they've been making terrible games for years
t. never actually played Grey Goo and only spews memeshit
Great and criminally underrated game raped by 0 marketing, AWFUL name and releasing at the same time as SC2 and CoH2 expansions.
I played it, it's crap
Westwood RTSes were never actually good
RA2 was the first one with gameplay worth a crap, also the first one they didn't work on
Sweden is genuinely the only country on Earth more cucked than Muttistan
Yeah, I'm conflicted too. On the one hand, I don't want to give EA any money.
On the other, solid work is still solid work.
>Westwood RTSes were never actually good
(You), now fuck off from this thread
looks like a shit flash ripoff.
2/10, I'll keep playing the originals through freecnc
C&C, Red Alert, Tiberian Sun, they were all very innovative and popular games, but they played like crap, they didn't actually understand how to balance an RTS and make it fun to play past "I like clicking on tanks and watching bases blow up"
3/10 made me reply twice
>someone has an opinion I disagree with
>they MUST be baiting
>EA stopped offering C&C/RA1/TS for free on their website when Remastered started development
>remaster
cant wait to buy it again! boy i sure do hate having money! please rape my throat harder i can still talk!
Frankly I don't mind it in this instance since they're only charging $20 for it and you get both of the games. Just a shame both games are not part of the same exe for easier flipping between them.
We're going to have to act if we want to live in a different world
I can't believe that I found THAT song
youtube.com
cartoonishly evil global caliphate that takes on the world and has all kinds of wacky characters and fighters? That's ISIS
>being so underage you don't remember the Afghanistan and Iraq
I sleep
Do you know what Al-Qaeda is? How fucking young are you?
I remember not being able able to find it on their website long before this
>That soundtrack is fucking bumping though.
Frank Klepacki is a godsend to the world of video game music. The C&C series easily has some of, if not the best music in any video game.
All the C&C games that he was involved in have top tier soundtracks, but the original game will always be my favorite soundtrack of the batch.
I cannot stop being mad about Tiberium Twilight. I'm confident EA will fuck this up somehow.
What genre is his shit anyways? It's always just stuck out to me as "C&C music" since it's not the kind of stuff I generally hear over the radio or from other games.
Industrial mostly.
This is all Petroglyph. I have faith. EA has been suspiciously hands off recently, but it still doesn't stop developers shitting the bed all by themselves... Like Bioware... Twice...
Now all they need to do is get to work on a Tiberian Sun remaster.
Aside from Hell March, this my personal favorite song from C&C:
youtube.com
...
>Twisted Insurrection
I'm buying this just so they might remaster Sun
Why was Tiberian Sun atmosphere pure apocalyptic kino? Still remember the maps being either blasted out desert wasteland shitholes or frozen over tundras with dimming lights.
I just found it a dramatic change of aeshetic from C&C1 and could just never get over it. Wasn't until Generals came back did I bunker down and enjoy a new RTS C&C.
>Tiberium Wars set after Tiberian Sun
>The game is noticably more optimistic and less desolate, most of the mutants are gone and there's fucking green zones introduced. The best part were the Red Zones.
Why did they backpedal so much in the sequel? The way things were going, you'd expect the next game would end up looking like Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak.
It was a mix of great art direction, foreboding, atmospheric music and a general sense of desperation throughout the game. It really made you feel like you were fighting the last war on Earth, in a world that has already been irrevocably scarred.
Because GDI won and got the Tacitus.
NOD was pushed back and broken into warring factions and CABAL "died" while GDI used this push to increase military and political power to control more areas of the world allowing expeditions to push back tiberium, is like asking why soldiers stopped using american 80's camo and vehicles as the war raged.
>mfw I played C&C since the original but stopped after Tiberian Sun.
