Buy it, play it, replay it, worship it, put it on a pedestal, cause this is the all-time GOAT of HPL games

also, the pixellated adventure The Last Door from the guys who went on to make Blasphemous. It lacks resolution, but it has beautiful backdrops, pays tribute to Alone in the Dark and the setting is spot on.

I don't think Lovecraft will work in any media because one of the principles of the monsters he creates is that they are incomprehensible to the human mind, and so many of the characteristics of these monsters cannot be portrayed in films and games.
It's like that new film that was released now, about the color that came from outer space, and in the book he says that people saw it as a new color that nobody had ever seen, but in the film it's fucking purple...

It's very hard to translate into video game format. A good hook of lovecraft's works is that the narrator is just insane and seeing madness. Most games and other pieces of media translate "lovecraftian" to merely ugly tentacle monsters.

And I'm assuming I don't even have to mention obvious stuff like At The Mountains of Madness and The Shadow Over Innsmouth but I'll do it anyway for the idiots who think Call of Cthulhu was his only story.

Mountains of Madness is definitely my favorite. Insmouth and Call of Cthulhu I found weaker. The dream cycle stuff is really good. I've liked a lot of his stuff, but his writing is kind of dense and it makes the stories that I don't love right away kind of a slog to get through.
