Animal Crossing is Nintendo’s FIFA...

Animal Crossing is Nintendo’s FIFA. Every entry feels the same and looks like the old game plus a couple of bug fixes and 1 or 2 new things.

can't believe animal crossing GameCube only came out in 2016

>Every entry feels the same and looks like the old game plus a couple of bug fixes and 1 or 2 new things.

The same could be said of Pokemon, Mario, Pikmin and Smash Bros. Turns out you can just resell the same game every few years to casuals and they won't notice.

no anger, just stating what I see. If not for obvious resolution differences, I can’t tell New Leaf and New Horizons apart

Imagine making an animal crossing thread in the morning only to get bodied

Have you considered you may just be retarded?

Attached: 1541188772700.png (328x353, 111.92K)

that's because you have brain damage.

maybe but...
it's fun

the same could be said of literally any game because the entire point of a sequel to to give you more of what you enjoyed but change it based on the feedback of the previous game
very few franchises actually make huge sweeping changes between games

They really should get their veteran teams to make something new instead of hiring zoomers to make shitty IPs like ARMS or Ring Fit Adventure. Imagine what the Mario Odyssey team could achieve if it was not a slave to the Mario IP. Or the BotW team if they didn’t have to make a Zelda.

it's called a game SERIES for a reason.
Do you expect every game in a series to be a totally different genre?

Whatever job you have, I want. The minimum threshold must be low compared to the pay.

are there any series that do this?
not being combative, just curious

Not surprising, since schools allow pre-menstrual girls to bring in phones, they get really angry when you talk about one of “their things” like Animal Crossing

This is the problem with newfags just walking onto the board

>5 games in 20 years
>ITS TOTALLY THE SAME AS A YEARLY RELEASE SPORTS GAME THINK ABOUT IT

trying too hard, bud

The point is making big improvements, not just iterating with small changes. If DMC3 played it safe, for instance, we’d just have DMC1 again based on feedback. Instead, it went beyond simple iteration and redefined its genre.

Nintendo used to do it too, look at how bold they were with sequels in the SNES / N64 / Gamecube days. Metroid Prime would never exist if they had the Animal Crossing fandom mentality.

>5 games in 20 years
How do they do it bros

It’s like if they released FIFA 16 one year, than waited five years to release FIFA 17, and another five for FIFA 18

Everyone can see that you didn't put any examples or observational data in your attempts at comparison OP kek

look in the mirror brother

“fun” is a state of mind. Anything can be fun or boring depending on how you look at it. If you’re laughing at bugs in a shitty game, the game is fun. If you’re moaning like Yas Forums when playing Doom 2016, the game is boring.

JoJo's bizarre adventure. But actually maybe senran kagura?

Kid Icarus comes to mind, but that's only 2 games that are decades apart from each other.

FIFA?

The yearly soccer game? lol ok

Wrong.

Every Nintendo franchise is Nintendo's FIFA

Pokemon is closest to fifa, considering how jewish, shit and cheaply made it feels, but even so, they aren't yearly releases.

yearly Assassin Creed games were more different from each other than every pokémon game, despite pokémon not being yearly

That only really applies to City Folk, and everyone dislikes that game because of how little it added from WW

>GUYS I'M TOTALLY NOT BAITING AND ARGUING IN BAD FAITH

>5 games in 20 years
yeah you’re fucking retarded

It takes at least a year to experience all the content in the game if you aren’t a time travelling bastard (though doing it for the first few days to get ahead a little isn’t too bad)

What is the appeal of Animal Crossing?

That's to keep cost low and maximize profits. Same shit goes on with NSMB. Low effort, high yield products are built for such purposes so they put effort in more prioritized products such as 3d Mario and Zelda.

Animal Crossing just isn't high priority to Nintendo. If it was it would have much better visuals, bigger worlds to explore, more customization and dating/marriage for the furries.

So you haven't played them.

Stop asking this in every thread you colossal bellend

>FIFA
>updates every year, fans generally look back on specific releases that were better in every way, I'm guessing the newest one has more bullshit microtransactions and game-as-a-service purchases
>Animal Crossing
>update almost every new console, fans generally look back on the one release that was better in every way, new one has shaken up the formula more than any other
>Pokemon
>new game every year or two, mix of new and old fans makes the fanbase prone to arguments about which old games are better, more microtransactions in the new title, and they have had a subscription cloud service for some time now

There are some parallels, but at least AC is doing something new with the island and crafting shit.

What are you talking about? Answer the question.

Well to be fair there is usually a reasonable gap between animal crossing releases

>more customization
New Horizons.
Then you get autists complaining about the game giving you too much power with customization.

very relaxing non demanding game with just enough long and short term goals to still be engaging

I’d rather wait 30 but make all games feel different instead of updates

Sounds boring.

Im panicking bros

AC is close and I have YET to think of an island name. I wanted something maybe spooky themed. Or water related. Please help me out.

>if I wait 5 years, I can release the same game again!

in a way yes
its not supposed to make your blood boil with vigor and rage its the video game equivalent of reading a nice book in bed

Blackmoor

I find it more akin to the sims series, just not as advanced. It's funny everyone forgot about the shitty amibo one

The Neverlaid Island

The virgin islands?

You know exactly what I’m talking about. You stopped getting responses in regular AC threads so you have to resort to baiting in an already bait thread for attention. You got it, at least

arch.b4k.co/v/search/text/What’s the appeal to animal crossing/

user, this doesn't work if you don't use a game that's a yearly release. If you used NBA of CoD, then you'd have a thread, but you even fucked that up somehow.

Attached: 1573330659788.jpg (503x333, 41.9K)

If the book was just the same as the four previous books you read

It was a spinoff that nobody wanted and nobody liked.
Also the best parts of the game (the minigames) were brought over to New Leaf in an update.

You have a victim complex and an obsession. Get help.

I don't see the appeal. The experience looks about as satisfying as navigating an operating system, inherently clinical and intentionally one-dimensional.

Holy based

>plus a couple of bug fixes
wtf do you even know what animal crossing is op, , it's not a sports game.

Agree.
Only played the DS game (played the shit out of it though) and when I got the 3DS one I got bored super fast.
If the online wasn't so terrible it would've lasted longer.
