>giant damage sponge >ground bombs have huge chip damage >instantly turns into a cyclone that hits you for 50% of your after being grappled or being out of ki for a while and entering dark realm (I know it's coming and try to get out of the way and still get hit every time anyway because he moves forward as he does it) >backdashes all of your attacks and doesn't let you get a full punish when you do have an opening, which also makes him being in a out of ki state not all that useful compared to other yokai >the beginning and end of hitboxes are not obvious, they're so shit I'm getting dark souls 2 flash backs >tornado charges one shot you >grapple one shots you
I cleared WotW and don't recall having this much trouble on any particular boss. I know how to play the game and I'm getting filtered, and not in the fun kind of way.
Make him break the pillars, water will fall down on him and make him saturated. This guy's not hard, just burst counter when you can, ki pulse a lot, and use flux.

I unironically beat him first time.
Bentley Ortiz
his tornado attack is burst counterable. after he loses some health he does the kick, hipcheck, kick, hipcheck, instead of just kick, hipcheck.
Joshua Wood
I see it's already begun, and even earlier than expected. Nothing in this game will ever be anything close to a damage sponge with all this bitching when there's already so much damaging shit to take advantage of in the core mechanics. You can dash and roll out of the way of or through pretty much anything he throws out, his attacks are generally linear and if he's able to backdash then you're both not comboing him smoothly enough and need to learn how to pressure better and keep up with him. Neither of those attacks one shot you unless you have light armour and low health, and if you have light armour you should be dodging everything easily. Anyway the game is very fun so far but god damn is it so easy.
Hudson Barnes
the punch, kick, punch, kick combo is will catch alot of people and the whirlwind into Yokai pool will exhaust you after your combo
Blake Gray
>beat side mission >mission complete text is the exact same as the mission before >except there is a different person saying it 0/10 I want my money back
I saw that too, I guess they still aren't quite 100% on their text.
Austin Johnson
There's a specific talisman spell that hard counters yokai pools. I forgot what it's called, but you should use it, because it automatically removes yokai pools by walking over them.
Elijah Brooks
IS IT OUT
IS IT BASED
Evan Howard
>viper's sanctum in the beta filtered me, ended up clearing it as an expedition and ended the beta never soloing the boss bros.......just go on without me
Liam Peterson
I just beat this sunova bitch after carefully playing instead of mashing and hoping. My palms are sweaty and knees are much spaghetti. 6 hours straight from release, I'm goin to bed. I'm really digging this game, especially seeing my OC.
Byakko is most bullshit boss in nioh. Nothing will ever surpass him.
Carter Russell
Post the oc
Michael Harris
>not clearing it as an expedition but on your own The enemy placements actually feel correct, but the mission debriefings don't show up which is a fucking terrible shame. I don't know if I want to continue doing it if I'll miss out on those.
I thought the same too until I realized that low stance dodging allowed you to dodge everything he did with absolute ease. The key with fighting him is to never get greedy, because he loves randomly extending his paw swipe strings or his lunge combos.
Anthony Jones
I CANT BEAT THIS STUPID HORSE AAAAAAAAAAA
Matthew Adams
>PC release is in November Well, I guess until then I'll get the hang of the C language.
>Nip listening to feedback from nip casuals His own god damn fault.
Henry Johnson
it's easier if you make use of all the options to make it as easy as possible (summon 2 people instead 1, use Yokai shift (this games version of living weapon), sloth talisman, etc).
Gyoubu? You can parry his slow swings, but just keep sprinting around hitting when you get the opportunity, and every time he wheels his horse around you can grapple to him for a few hits.
Justin Robinson
You forgot the green.
Jacob Torres
I made japanese Keanu Reeves cuz gaijin woulda been out of place and non canon
If you have Webbums please post them! Gameplay anons really have some crazy cool gameplay. I'm still on DLC2 in Nioh 1, but I didn't find it as hard as I remember it being back when I took a break from it last year. I used Spear low attack combo ender skill to destroy Sarutobi. That attack is so cool, stomping the spear into the ground and then spinning it around, is that skill in Nioh 2?
Cool that nigga down when he's out of the dark realm, then when he summons the dark realm break his ki, then spam yokai abilities to knock him down for a strong grapple, rinse and repeat.
Wait english? Where do i change to jap dub? can't seem to find it anywhere in the options.
Michael Torres
So has the "Art of Nioh 2" artbook been scanned yet? I have a copy of it when I bought the steelcase edition of Nioh 2, and if it hasn't been scanned I'm willing to take photographs of each page later today when I get home from work.
Caleb Ortiz
I mean your parents are japanese n shit
Henry Thompson
No, Mezuki... please dont laugh at me im not normally this bad. I beat the first nioh but I dont know whats going on anymore
Evan Morales
I thought this game was supposed to be set after Nioh 1 and that we played as daughter/son? Guess that was changed.
Ryan Cruz
That's different then.
Thomas Myers
I'll need to watch the video, but that picture is so fucking awful. THAT'S WHY YOU DON'T CHANGE IT AT ALL TO BEGIN WITH, LOOK AT HOW SHIT THEY ARE PLAYING AND REALIZE THEIR ONLY PROBLEM IS NOT LEARNING HOW TO PLAY
Wyatt White
beat him first try now the owl is fucking annoying one of the red orbs has to be bugged too so you cant hit it properly
Jackson Collins
You can only change it on the title screen, not in game. Go to settings and then language settings.
Justin Gonzalez
no, it was never going to be that. It's been a prequel since its' announcement.
Adam Parker
Good weapon to go with switchglaive?
Evan Williams
Your other favourite.
Levi Hernandez
where did you fucking hear that? that was never ever the case, stop pulling bullshit from your ass
Jayden Gomez
>mfw listening to Enenra's theme >mfw Yatsu No Kami's theme
Where the hell were these amazing themes in Nioh 1? Was Nioh 1's budget so microscopic that the game's soundtrack only consisted of 4-5 boss/battle songs? In contrast, so far, in Nioh 2, every main mission boss has had a unique theme.
There are some subtle yet important callbacks that you won't understand if you haven't played 1. What you learn in 2 also is better if you understand the context from 1.
That said, you should be able to understand 2's story fairly easily as long as you pay attention and read the pre-/post-mission dialogues and main NPC interactions.
Andrew Barnes
is it just me or are the missions a lot bigger in nioh 2
Isaac Phillips
How are tonfa this time around? They were fun but lackluster in the first game, but I'm curious about this one
Jonathan Robinson
First game I went spear/kusarigama, and then switched to tonfas when they released. I wanna spice things up, what do you guys recommend would mak for a different experience this time around?
Liam Barnes
>lost 3 cores because was to lazy to visit shrine
Evan Murphy
>post-mission dialogues God why do these have to not show up in Expeditions, I was enjoying it so much until I found out I would miss those.
Lincoln Price
You can still have fun with expeditions, but you should still try to beat each mission in the game solo at least once. That's what everyone should be doing anyway.
Leo Phillips
>keep hearing what sounds like William saying "pretty good" randomly in fights Why is Willy speaking to me
Daniel Wood
Hatchets feel pretty unique, especially once you get a lot of skills on them.
Josiah Torres
Oh, I should have clarified. I was doing them solo, but in Expedition mode, because you can turn off join mid-mission and just play it out alone. The updated enemy placements feel like how the game is supposed to be.
Nicholas Reed
I'M GETTING FILTERED BY THE SNAKE BOSS THAT WAS IN THE DEMO. AS SOON AS HE GRABS ME IT'S AN INSTA KILL.
Anyone else having a really easy time? Killed all the bosses to the snake in one try so far. Sure they were in the demos but they feel easier. The levels in general feel much weaker than the trial versions. Also switchglaive seems really powerful.
This stupid fucking horse is a fucking faggot none of the weapons feel satisfying at all game just decides that I didn't press any buttons sometimes I want a fucking refund
James Martin
git gud
Cameron Wood
give me slav gene ciri then
Ethan Long
>played through the first game with heavy armor and an axe face tanking everything >try full ninja and light armor in the second >every single enemy in the game does at least 50% of my health in one attack
