I had to look this up, but runners turn into stalkers within a week to a month of infection, and stalkers turn into clickers within a year. Bloaters take years to develop after the infected turn into clickers.
Who are these giant group of survivors that are just ahead of you over the course of TLOU? Shouldn't clickers be the most common infected instead of runners? Wouldn't Bill's town be, like, 100% fucking clickers at this point? Or did a bunch of people move in and all huff the fungus together?

The animation part wouldn't be the issue. The issue will come with bringing the animations into the game engine which if it isn't something like UE4 or Unity probably has some things you need to work around to import from whatever is being used. These film guys will be fine with Maya but the second you need them to import the animations or skeletons or other parts into the game engine it's all chink speak to them. These guys are used to just going render and that's it now you need them to select the frames, object or skeleton depending and dump them into the game engine which won't be nearly as comprehensively documented as Unity or UE4 since it's an internal engine. I don't know if you know this or not but if you talk to a film animator about game engines they don't have a fucking clue what you're saying even more so if it's not a publicly available thing with plenty of documentation.

Protip, pretty much no piece of media is worthy of the awards they win because the people that select the winners are always clueless and not read up.

DICE has dedicated grenade game designers. As in someone that sits and tries to make a grenade feel just right, they don't do anything else.
A rigger is not involved in the animating of a skeleton in AAA and the ones that implement it are not the riggers or animators.

She's not a competent team leader at all and has some very weird ideas when it comes to games.
Her idea of directing people and a project is to basically not do it because it "will all work out in the end, I trust people to just make it work!".
She think streaming games (like with stadia) is the future and wants to push for this hard so that people that don't play games can more easily do so on a whim, like with Netflix.

One thing I've noticed is that the only games that receive awards for writing are either sad, depressing tragedies or meta-"ha-look-i'm-using-the-medium-to-critique-the-medium-aren't-i-so-creative"-commentaries. Or both, in the case of Spec Ops: The Line.

I think there's two more parts to this.
First, that they really really REALLY want to be taken seriously. No one would take you seriously if you just do comedy games. But drama and tragedy are super serious and mature so they push that forwards.
Second, they hate games not pushing their bullshit and you and I both know a good comedy game would trigger the fuck out of journobloggers or Retarderror.
