Aeriths death originaly was supposed to happen later in the game thats why she still has some voice lines left when you hack her back into the game and also why she has an ultima spell despite it being useless for her

Why didn't Kain and Cecil revive Rydia's parents?

Literally any other RPG series has handled death scenes better than Final Fantasy. Hell, Aeris dying (and her character) is just a copy of Aria from Final Fantasy III. And deaths in FFV and VI are more impacting.

All these people who act like her death is the saddest thing in video games don't even have much experience with the Final Fantasy series.
