It retcons Zero's and X's death, degrading any impact it had. It's bad. Just as bad as "Robotnik saved Shadow the Hedgehog".
But if you ignore that, it's still "just meh". It has no real relation to other games, and even ZX and Advent feel too disjointed.

Z3 > Z4 > Z2 > ZX > Z1 > ZXA

X7 exists, user. Unless you are somehow only counting classic or something as mainline.

Speedrunners are the opposite of imprecise, so they handle it great. I can't tell you what to do, you already told yourself. If you can't, then just use ZX.

There are two conflicting explanations about biometals: one says it their actual souls, other that they are just copies and both explanations came from capcom and they will never clarify it.

It doesn't even change anything about their deaths, lol. Neither X, nor Zero truly return. Same as the other Guardians. X, and Zero apparently have more memories that the other Biometal though, and likely because Ciel had more to go off of. Like Zero's helmet remains in Z4, for one.

Apparently if they have a Biometal, or have the necessary "potential" to use one. Albert set up maverick attacks so he could transfuse his blood into survivors to make them compatible, or something like that.
