Will it be good?
Will it be good?
after half a year of community mods, probably
At this point fuck it fire most of wotc and have larian make their rules for dungeons and dragons
Nah, probably not. Sword Coast Legends was hot garbage. But why speculate? Wait until it's out and has a Metacritic score. Preordering (and crowdfunding) are anti-consumer dogshit that divorces the product's quality from its financial success.
I'd say good enough mechanically but devoid of good flavor and plot.
I enjoyed Divinity Original Sin 2 quite a bit on a mechanical level but had pretty much zero story investment. With the fun mechanics swapped for something close to D&D, I can't see Larian's storytelling carrying the game at all.
This is my view as well.
You have a company that has a history of poor storytelling and character writing being hamstringed in terms of the one thing they are good at by being attached to D&D.
I just can't expect anything beyond mediocre.
>4th ED
oof
as long as they stay away from the

As Divinity? Sure, if you ignore story, most likely. As Baldur's Gate? Probably not.
