It kind of bothers me how these characters are okay with getting blasted through mountains, smashed across valleys, and kicked through the sky with little to no injury

More villains using powerups. Bowser used the Metal Shroom from the beginning plus Koopa Bros & Axem Rangers used the chaos emeralds so why not have "oh shit" moments with other abilities? Let powerups bring variety to the scaling and make it more interesting than DBZ's actual power scaling.

Honestly, I agree. Mecha Sonic is just peak design, it is both curved and angular in equal measure, and it just looks downright evil. Metallix looks too much "DeviantArt".

Probably a terrible idea to make a power up of the central plot devices.

There's the Monitors, which can give characters stuff like super sneakers, invincibility, and of course the elemental shields.
I guess the biggest barrier to their inclusion is why they would be in the Mario universe? Though, now that Eggman is in the series from the beginning, that won't matter anymore.

I like this because it sets the precedence that Mecha/Metallix can't handle tanky strong guys head on, which gives credence to Bowser being one of the few who can actually beat him (at least in base form)

I really hope we get to see Tails, Knuckles etc put up a fight against Mecha. Even though we know how it ends, it'd be rad to watch.

Mark Haynes isn’t going to top Brawl on a Vanishing Island. It’s actually going to be worse, he’s going to hate it, fall into a depression again, and quit his series again.

I just want to see if he delivers on his claim that the new Yoshi vs Mecha Sonic is going to make the original look like puppies play-wrestling or something to that effect. That's going to be my gauge for if he's still got it or not.

Nothing will top that ever but overall he's much more consistent, his episode 1 from the reboot was great
