AMA in 2 1/2 hours.
What race / class are you looking to play, user? Anything from the tabletop that you're hoping makes it into the game for the full release?
a human cuck with a couple voyeur levels
It stopped because people moved on from the disappointment. Take your meds, console warring tranny.
where
What would he be in tabletop? A bard with max str, con and cha or something more specific?
Probably Valour Bard - puts more emphasis on your fighting abilities and your ability to make others fight harder.
the majority of people were not disappointed

the majority of Yas Forums doesn't want it to be turn based

>Baldur’s Gate 3 will launch in Early Access with five companions to begin with, with more coming later. Throughout the main campaign, all companions are open to romance from all other characters, and senior writer Adam Smith is looking to create more complex relationships, with the help of Dungeons & Dragons lore to mess with the players’ heart strings.
>“So, Liselle, she’s the Githyanki. And Githyanki don’t really do monogamy,” Smith told VG247.
>“So if you sleep with Liselle one night at camp, the next night you might well just find her sleeping with somebody else. And she’s going to be like, ‘oh, that was a bit of fun, wasn’t it? How are you doing?’ And you’re just like, ‘oh!’ Heartbroken!”
baldur's gate 3? you mean baldur's cuck 3?
The majority of people never played Baldur's Gate
Tiefling Paladin. Currently playing that in the D&D campaign that leads up to this game.
Romance is also turn based that's kino
Elf Paladin
Majority wants it to be turn-based according to your poll user

thats what I meant to say user
why did i move here? i guess it was the cuckshit

Alright I was confused.
I aint the sharpest tool in the shed, that's why I want the game to be RTwP.
BG3 honestly looked nothing like BG2 and had nothing to do with BG2. Instead it looks like a mix of OS2 and Dragon Age. Much more hyped for Pathfinder 2 but at the same time I'm really worried about the feature creep because of how bloated the kickstarter became.
I honestly think you might have mental problems.
>This obsessed with cuckoldry
You're like those overtly 'straight' men who make fun of gays, who turn out to be closet faggots.

NOOOOO WHY WOULD THEY DO THIS TO MEEEEEEEEEEEEE

It's just Larian's take on DnD 5e, the name is a meme
Well, they have the base system made and bugfixed - a lot of the kickstarter stuff was just new characters, new classes, new archetypes - things that can fit pretty easily into the existing framework. The big changeups that I've seen are the army battles and the world magic systems, but hopefully the HoMM experience the team has will make it a smooth addition.
>of course we all p-played Baltors Gate, y-you f-fucking b-boomer
>how could w-we forgot that part where Arthas did the purge
>or w-where...uh...uhhhhH—
>it d-doesn't even f-fucking matter!
>balurs game was always b-bad anyway!
Solid. Paladins are radical.
From what I've seen 5e translates much worse to video games than previous editions.
I hope they add much more visual options for your characters, including subclass and prestige class specific outfits.
why would they care about a group of people in their 30-40s?
thats literally the age group of people that played BG around launch.
Then why would they name it Baldur's gate?
After os2 they would have made money whatever their next game was
They realized they needed more money for Divinity Fallen Heroes
It's one of the things where the name has a legacy despite not many people playing it
>name has legacy for boomers
>"well, they're not making this game for boomers"
>zoomers don't even remember legacy
>would have still bought it if it was called anything else
bullshit
this is same nostalgia baiting shit as remaking Robocop
Remaking Robocop isn't going to draw in old Robocop fans
And the name means nothing to young non-fans
The nostalgia trap for niche shit doesn't work
The new Pathfinder seems to go a little too hard on homebrew for an apparently official adaptation.
There is a nameless writer somewhere, or perhaps Avellone, trying to come up with ways to shoehorne PC gold dragons, liches, walking insect monsters or whatever other shit.
Zoomers are obsessed with "boomer" (see: older than them) franchises. Pick a couple of streamers to shill it and zoom zooms will gobble that brand.
The AP already uses the Mythic system, which has the PCs acquire incredible power and practically become demigods, though. Way I see it, they're just making it a bit more flavorful than just things like "Guardian".
BG3 Shitposting stopped because the "hype" for the game is the shitposting. The trailer is forgotten and no one cares anymore, so there's no need to shill it and spam "LOL U MAD NORMIES WIN BEST GAME EVER LARIEN WINS AGEN" until they start selling Early Access, when you people will start the shitposting and shilling to market that.
It's objectively going to be a bad game and no amount of memes will change that.
Based larianiggers poster.
I believe it's all approved by Paizo so I doubt there are any issues.
>The new Pathfinder seems to go a little too hard on homebrew for an apparently official adaptation.
I don't understand. The written AP was dogshit to begin with, so who cares if they add fun stuff to it?
>trying to come up with ways to shoehorne PC gold dragons, liches, walking insect monsters or whatever other shit.
Nigga, have you never actually played Pathfinder? Don't answer that, I know the answer is no. It's a fucking 23 year old game with like 150 published official splatbooks that add every kind of race, archetype, and template you could ever possibly imagine into the game as content players can use and take into their campaigns. How in the fuck is using some of that shit for a PC game "homebrew"?
>Pick a couple of streamers to shill it and zoom zooms will gobble that brand.
Yeah, but that's not because they care about boomer shit. It's because zoomzoom streamer "friend" told them its fun.
The fact that you can't just market on the namebrand alone, that you have to get influencers to peddle it for you is proof that the name or legacy doesn't matter to zoomers.
It's who's telling them its good and to buy it.
they are fans of baldurs gate and wanted to make a sequal, duh.
For the same reason beamdog wanted to do it.
Also because WOTC literaly called them and asked them to make a new baldurs gate game.
This isnt rocket science unless you are a butthurt boomer
Zoomers cheering that they took a Boomer franchise, just so they can proceed to not actually buy the game because they don't like that genre in the first place.
That's the industry right now. That's what Yas Forums is.
Brand have a bigger effect that you think. Just look at nu-Doom or any other reboot, remake, retell or whatever they call it now.
Also, WotC wants to push FR and BG brands really hard, that's why they want a BG3, not a BG [subtext], and that's why they hired Larian to do the job (they just checked which recent cRPG sold well among zoomers).
Well, no, I haven't actually played tabletop PF. But I am a bit of an autistic asshole and would like them to stick to the lore more.
The dev team coming up with class archetypes when there is so much shit to choose from already is concerning.
So the game punishes you for trying to waifu a thot? Sounds pretty based to me.
>I haven't actually played tabletop PF
Aight you're done talking literally forever.
>and would like them to stick to the lore more.
You don't know the first thing about Pathfinder lore.
Just stop.
What is Beamdog doing these days? They finished Planescape: Torment a while ago, but I don't know what they've done since.
Pretty much. If you don't give a shit about something, but get to take it away, that's a power play. Pathetic, but that's how it is. And yet, flexing on Twitter is enough for these "people", they aren't buying shit.
The archetypes they've been talking about exist in Pathfinder, though. Stonelord and all that are real, actual race-locked class archetypes.
>they are fans of baldurs gate and wanted to make a sequal, duh.
The director for BG3 said he never played BG1 and barely remembered Baldur's Gate 2 besides that he didn't like the combat.
Fans my fucking ass.
Just admit they had an opportunity to take the license and took it, that at least makes some kind of sense.
This.
Probably seething they didn't get to make BG3
>so larian spent time and budget adding cuckshit?
>b... based swen
lmao
Well I liked Kingmaker, as far as Pathfinder goes. Except for Octavia and the resulting cuck adventure. And lore is just touched up D&D anyway.
Read "created from scratch" on the KS, and just assumed the thing. If they detailed it somewhere else, I have no idea.
That happened already, though. Siege of Dragonspear got made, the people who wanted to clap for Amber Scott's writing didn't buy it, and the people who wanted to play more Baldur's Gate complained it was a buggy, poorly-written mess.
>Well I liked Kingmaker, as far as Pathfinder goes
Bro
You have to be older than 12 to post on Yas Forums.
I'm entirely certain that your entire family and everyone who knows you, hates you and your existence ruins everyone's life in a measurable way.
You can check that stuff against the actual SRD, if you like.
