How many times did he fake his death/take a new identity again?

baka mitai...

Only once

Once but he nearly died at the end of 1,2,3,5 and 6

He gets shot and stabbed a lot

That's completely normal tho.

Can someone explain how Majima went from cool dude to crazy cross dresser? I just played Yakuza 0 as my first Yakuza game and really enjoyed it. But the ending was strange in how Majima is suddenly derranged. I watched the trailer for Kiwami and it shows even more of this personality. He was tortured for years before the game's start and was fairly normal. And tortured again at a point in the game. But it isn't until the very very end of the game that he shifts. Was seeing Makimura the straw that broke the camel's back? Because that's when he starts to be the mad dog in the game.

Play the games, retard. He acts normal in later Yakuzas. He acts like that so he can't get hurt again and to make up for the days he was just a dog locked in the city.

I am playing the games, retard. I have an Xbox and was never able to until now. 0, and the Kiwami 1/2 and coming to the game's pass. I'm talking about the shift in this one specific game, which has no explanation.

He acts normal only in 0,4 and 5. He only starts to become bat shit crazy once he sees Makimura get hurt and only starts to act normal again when his blood brother gets out of prison.

Characters "die" and come back in Yakuza all the time. Kiryu fucks, but is a virgin. Kiryu never kills anyone, but blows people up in helicopters and throws them off buildings. Yakuza writing is a joke, which is fine if you treat it as such, but anyone who tries to tell themselves Yakuza is well written is an imbecile.
If Majima is crazy or normal in a scene entirely depends on if they thought it would be cool or funny for him to be serious or crazy at the time. That's it.

Okay thanks. Like I said, this was my first Yakuza game and all I knew was it was silly. Didn't know any history of the story. I'll try not to take it too seriously. Can't wait for Kiwami 1 and 2.

This. The bomb being a fake in 2 sums up perfectly why the writing in these games is terrible. Nothing ever actually matters or has consequence. Things happen just to have a melodramatic scene which ten minutes later doesn't even matter anymore. Kaz can be stabbed and left to die and then be back on his feet and fine 2 minutes later. These games are full of this shit. It's not even "twists" because that would mean things would have to be foreshadowed or at least still have consequence. But literally everything that you think is happening can be undone at any moment. RUBBER BULLETS is the most extreme example but the games are full of this garbage. It only annoys me because when people point out how shit the gameplay is they defend the games by saying "you idiot, you play for the story" but that makes no sense when they're written so badly.

>Can't wait for Kiwami 1
lol

Nani

>I have an Xbox and was never able to until now
oh no it's starting

at the end he literally tells sagawa that he will now live the wildest way possible. it's a facade

Oh no someone else is going to enjoy 0 and then play the others and find out they're all shit

>so he gets surrounded by like 30 dudes after just beating up 30 dudes, right, and things are looking pretty bad for him
>but then that crazy one-eyed guy shows up in a pink fucking dump truck with a cheetah print curtain and the dudes are so amazed they let him get in the truck and get away

>take a korean celebrity out to a porn shop (he makes you watch him fap because he can't operate a VHS), a gay bar and a dirty noodle stand
Was kind of gay.

0 is literally the same as all the others, stop pretending you know what you are talking about

DAKARA PLEASE
GET UP MY BAYBAYYYYYYYY

>0 is literally the same as all the others
is this meant to be a positive? who wants to play the same thing 10 times over?

someone post the anri webm

Ask Pokemon fans

They're all the same but 0 does it best.
You can't honestly claim 0 and K1 are the exact same level of quality just because you do they same shit in both of them. Or that 3 or 6 are as good as 0. Do you believe that? No you don't. Stop pretending you know what you're talking about you disingenuous faggot.

At least Pokemon games add new Pokemon and are set in new locations. Yakuza games are mostly set in the exact same place and have nothing new in them. In fact they tend to make the combat worse with each new game.

true

This is why I have no desire to play any entries that aren't 0. I've heard that the gameplay only gets shitter as the series progresses and as you pointed out the story is irredeemable garbage schlock.

>he hasnt played Dead Souls

Kiryu aint a virgin.

It's so weird to me that people who have played 6 demand that others play all the games and not just 0. They KNOW the story doesn't even have a good payoff, in fact it has a shit payoff that makes you feel like you've wasted your time. And then 7 only makes the shitty "payoff" even more worthless.

Play 0, have fun, and move on. The series will never have a satisfying conclusion as characters will be rolled out sequel after sequel just to milk fanboys. Kiryu's story ended at least 4 times by now and each time it gets a little worse.

The only protags who arent canonical virgins are Majima, Shinada and Akiyama

Do you have a high res version of it?

Haruka fucked a chink

Shit I completely forgot about that whore

Yakuza 0 needed more City Pop. Too much emphasis on Disco.

The whole "set in the 80s" thing was half baked. It hardly feels different to the other games.
A yakuza game set in 2015 and a yakuza game set in 1985 are almost identical.

Kamurocho goes through more changes in the 4 years between y5 and y6 than it did in the 17 years between y0 and y1.

>walk by places in Kiwami 1
>hear disco music and loud slot machines

how the hell was KUZEEEE never a secret boss in the Kiwami games, or why not replace the dude who picks a fight with Kiryu in prison with him?

>Just did Karaoke for the first time with Majima
>him singing As Long As You're Happy
how the hell does he sing like that

Because Kuze would have been dead or out of the Tojo Clan at that point

Kuze and Shibusawa went to prison willingly by the end of 0. Awano's the one who dies.

>just completed kiwami 1 the other day
>this mod pops up

dammit

This. I guess it's some weird "I suffered so everyone else has to as well" mentality.

if the character is facescanned he's gone forever after that game, guaranteed. Probably for some contractual reason

The fact that this song wasn't in, meant it certainly wasn't an 80s soundtrack.

It's not really suffering when the prior games became so succesful in Japan that they made Yakuza 0 to celebrate a 10 year anniversary

what on earth is your point supposed to be? are yakuza 3 and 6 suddenly incredibly good games that should not be criticized now because of whatever the hell you're talking about?

not him but had a Q. I just finished 3, what was the problem? Seemed fine.

>are yakuza 3 and 6 suddenly incredibly good games that should not be criticized
No, but neither is 0. All Yakuza games have their merits.

Mine was a better final boss than Shibusawa was, surprisingly.

There's no problem. 3 is so fucking amazing they decided to make 0 in order to honor it.

The gameplay is great and the story is hype. Be a seething faggot somewhere else.

You act like the direct plot is the only reason to care about the franchise, and not the characters, sub-stories, minigames, and events as they unfold rather than the bigger picture. That's like saying Shenmue sucks because we're three games in and the story's dragged its feet through the dirt trying to go as slow as humanly possible rather than looking at the overall picture of the series as a sum of its numerous parts coming together (even though 3 still sucks).

>You act like the direct plot is the only reason to care about the franchise
his point was the complete opposite
