I don't think I've ever played much Doom. I always thought they were the same guy, just changed the name from the older games. Plus I thought Doom Slayer was supposed to be done super ancient guy from "eons past" or some crap that was in some kind of stasis and bright back in the future. That's what I was lead to believe anyway when I saw the new Doom trailer last year. I really need to give the games a try again.

Hell is supposedly timeless pool of "hellified" multiverses as it's constantly trying to invade neighboring universes. Hell tried invading Earth multiple times before Nu-Doom. There was an instance in Wolfenstein RPG where Blazkowics cuts the arm and leg off of the now Cyberdemon with the Spear of Destiny and punted his ass back into a Hell portal.

Also there are remains of medieval warriors (Where you find the "Arrow in the Knee" easter egg) strewn about in Khadgar's Sanctuary. It's obvious that someone during the medieval ages attempted a crusade into a hell portal that sadly failed. That would make one bad ass game though with an army of medieval warriors trying to find their way back out of the hell portal.

I heard that but in my recent research strong points (based on some shit I read about Final Doom) made them a need to play (at least in my headcanon). If anyone played them and has info feel free to speak up

Oh, I think Plutonia is a must-play for any Doom fan, it's just not in the story. But as much as I love Doom lore, Doom's greatest strength is its gameplay, not its story. Just because it isn't canon doesn't mean it isn't the best vanilla megawad.

No, those parts are actually real. We know Doomguy wielded the Crucible for a while and slayed the Titan with it, and Hell's chronology is confirmed to be separated into "ages" based on who is the Dark Lord at that time. Right now it's the Nameless One, but in the ages of where the classic Barons and Hell Knights (and thus POSSIBLY Classic Doom's era), Hell's Dark Lord was a serpent monster or something.
It's very possible Doomguy is old enough that he's seen multiple ages of Hell, and the first age was in the original game.

Oh come on. The nu-lore will allow us to bum-rush Doom's equivalent to angels and heaven very soon. What's not to like making both heaven and hell your cucks?

It turns out the Switch version of Doom (1) actually has Sigil, TNT, Plutonia, and one other WAD as an install so I was going to play all of them desu but I was saving Plutonia for last since I heard it was the best as well. Is sigil worth playing? The flavor text made it sound cool and I know its by Romero

They aren't. The Maykrs are not angels, they're asshole ayylmaos that pretend to be angels so they can trick civilizations like the Argenta into giving them shit. The only real angel we know about is the Seraphim.

I doubt they'd go for "Angels are evil" but more like "angels are egotistical dicks who use all underlings as disposable stepping stones". But even then the dudes in Doom lore aren't even angels, they're just higher beings like space elves taking advantage of other races for their own gains.
