Now I'm seriously considering not buying it at all.

that's actually interesting. But I finished the original last November and the pacing was really shit. They might have made it more tolerable but I'm not gonna go through all that again. Maybe I'll watch the rest on Youtube or some shit.

They redid the whole translation to make it more woke

The whole game is like 20-30 hours shorter now despite there being more content, pacing's way better.

It's also ridiculously easy now though. You can hit enemies for five digit damage.

FYI the systems that break the game are
-Once a day you can combine a demon with any of a load of random demons from other players online, most of which are endgame shit with endgame skills, so of course you can take those skills no matter how early on in the game you are
-Every time you have a battle you have a random chance of setting off an alarm in the velvet room which lets you do a one time combination that gets bonus stats and lets you choose all the skills you want (ALL of the blank slots)
-You can deposit a persona (you can't use it while deposited) and its stats will grow every day while it's deposited, you can choose which stats to focus on and buy items that boost the stat growth

You can make shit with max stats and endgame skills pretty much as soon as this shit is unlocked (IIRC around Kaneshiro)

They improved the pacing by adding stat raising shit to Leblanc so you don't have to stand around holding your dick before you're allowed outside at night and making battles piss easy

A couple of shittier areas in the dungeons are skipped entirely now with the addition of the grappling hook

Raising Kasumi's S link lets you use the grappling hook to sneak attack enemies from afar so you don't have to hide and wait anymore

Raising Maruki's S link gives you free random instant heals for status effects, free random concentrate and charge at the start of every battle, free random SP restoration when low

How did you get stuff like that? I'll be getting royal but I just beat P5 last week and feel like I'd burn out if I played royal so soon. If you're able to get overpowered early on though, I probably won't get bored.

There's literally nothing to do in the towns except buy shit from stores. There are no confidants, no minigames, no stat-building activities. There's no calendar bullshit either. The game is 90% running through dungeons.

I played it, you hold R2 to open a menu in battle and cast spells and aside from being action it's just P5's battle system again, you hit enemies with weaknesses and get bonus attacks and do it enough times and you get all-out attacks
