What's going on?
Why is everyone sad?

Little did you know, this shit already exists
>game has a massive variety of status effects
>regular enemies are too weak to be worth using them on
>bosses are always immune
>Abilities like calm and turn undead straight up stop working because the enemies outscale the zone of effectiveness
Fucking Skyrim.
>aoe magic you cast also hits your party members
Haven't got the screencap, but didn't someone find a double-shot legendary pool cue in Fallout 4?
Xenoblade 2 has retarded stats like this
>2% chance that your sword will summon 1-10 arrows that do 5% of your total damage each during the night but they heal your enemy for 5% during the day
>+5% crit damage when you're below 10% hp
>enemies kill you in 3 hits so it's impossible to keep yourself that low
>a chance to disarm enemies
>only useful for getting unique weapons from a few certain enemies and they're either bad or can't be used at all
itt: 99% of FO:NV perks
just grabbed 10 ranks of intense training to pump my stats, that one perk that gave 3 DT per rank, and some other random stuff every playthrough because of how useless everything was
>+5000% attack power at 12:00am
>ability does 5x damage on enemies that have less than 10% hp
>90% of the damage is overkill
>2% chance to increase your attack speed by 5% for 10 seconds
>2% chance on hit to apply a bleed effect that stacks up to a maximum of 5 times
>only lasts 10 seconds and does like 5% of your weapon damage at one stack
>50% chance to cast level 40 semen explosion upon death
>in a game with permadeath
>+10% damage dealt
>+100% damage taken
It's always ridiculous seeing abilities so fucking awful you have to wonder why the fuck they got added in the first place.
It's one thing to have perks that are mediocre or even weak beacuse they're hard to balance, it's another thing entirely seeing a skill so obviously bad you have to wonder what the fuck was going through someone's head when they made it.
>+30% damage on stunned enemies
>His stun last one round
What did they mean with this?
>+50% crit/crit damage
>+50% crit received/-50% crit defense

>make enemies invisible on hit
it's stupid but I love it.
git gud
stop getting hit
That's honestly my favorite mod in Warframe.

The Trails of Cold Steel games give you a low chance of inflicting the status effect for only 1 turn, which seems like a good compromise.
>23% chance to get a buff that makes your basic attack have a 15% chance to boost your next core attack by 10% for 5 seconds
A real armor effect in project gorgon
>status effects do work on bosses
>It's OP to the point of every boss fight begins by dumping the most amount of status effects possible on it
>>Abilities like calm and turn undead straight up stop working because the enemies outscale the zone of effectiveness
I don't know about turn undead, but you can make illusion spells scale far beyond any of the enemy level caps with perks, dual-casting or enchanted gear
>poison is just damage over time
>fire/burning is also just DoT
>so is ice/frostibe
>and lightning/electrocuted
>it's just 5 different resistances to DoT to juggle
I hate this uninspired shit. Let fire cause panic and ice slow enemies down. "elemental damage" being just numbers that scale is a lazy idea.
What game
You should try Grim Dawn. There are like 8-10 resistances and each one has a "dot version" with a different name, usually confusing.
Doesn't ir cap out at around lv40?
>boss is immune to status effects
Not seeing the gun where a magazine fits into a fucking spinning chamber revolver.
>It's on a turn-based rpg
>put on glasses
>+3 INT
>Pick politician perk
>-1 int
>immunity to poison
>enemies stop using poison and use the much worse toxin/deadly poison
>every enemy is immune to poison or so weak its not worth it

>bosses are normally immune to status effects but one character has an ability that makes them temporarily vulnerable

>Community spends years thinking it must do something anyway.
>doubles the rate of poison damage
>halves poison damage
>gain massive buffs to damage and other abilities
>the effect kills you after a minute and a half
>you can survive this by killing the boss because all of your status effects get cleared
or,
>ability has a random effect, ranging from 400% exp to killing all your party members instantly
or on the other end of the spectrum
>boss is vulnerable to the death spell
>0,1% chance to crit
Thanks, I guess
>healing spell modifier halves cast time
>also halves healing
>costs 20% less mana
>Put on glasses
>You can now see better in dark places.
That's actually a pretty significant damage boost if you just reapply the poison when it runs out
I believe that was a mod to allow that sort of thing to happen, which is why there's also pics of healing Fat Mans.
My vision is augmented.
>5% chance to reduce incoming fire damage from melee stab attacks by 10%
>any overkill damage carries over to your next attack
>overkill damage can stack with itself
>optional boss is a damage sponge beast that you fight at night
