What's the game
What's the game
Sex.
Warframe
nuCOM
Dark Soulless
The "git gud" meme has gone beyond its original meaning. It used to be useful for when someone was a little retard at a game and wanted the game to become dumbed down for them so it could be easier (ex: dark souls being hard for causals, the answer was "get good").
But now retards and contrarians on this board (and other internet places) use it to mean "just slurp up whatever bad shit is shoveled your way because if you don't you're "bad""
For the majority of games the cap guy is in the right.
The best part is when you prove that you're good at the game, the retort is always "lol why spend time getting good at a game you don't like".
Conclave pvp -as shit as it is- is the only thing in the game that requires anything resembling skill in warframe.
Nah, terror from the deep was such an unpleasant assfucking that anything was an improvement.
Xenounauts any good?
Pretty much this
Fighting games, especially Tekken.
Octopath Traveler
The moment you figure out the break/notbrave system you realise you're going to be on autopilot with the same grand strategy for the whole game
Xenonauts is absolute garbage without an overhaul mod that, last I checked, was like 35 gigs. Even with the mod, it's not as good as UFO Defense and TFTD mods out there.
Lemme see if I can fire it up, give me a little bit. It's been some time since I've played Xenonauts.
Resonance of Fate, getting good at the hero run mechanics just to realize how it reduces the game into the same repetitive animation.
I don't know. A lot of games like that, where the one mechanic that drives the combat reduces it to shit.
The only example is probably Bayonetta 1, where Witch Time turns out to be the red herring and Dodge Offset is the one mechanic. Dodge Offset improves the game instead of slowing it down or reducing it to bullshit. Good job outside of the projectile-based dragon boss. Shame the sequel makes Witch Time requisite again.
>calarts
Dark Souls and Dark Souls inspired games in general, pick your poison. When you figure out how to break those games they simply collapse in on themselves and you see all the messy aspects far more blatantly.
Monster Hunter World
calarts is shit, but please stay on topic user.
> shitters proving anything on the internet
I'm sorry your favorite game is easy once you realize it's nothing but dice rolls without a single ounce of strategic thought outside weighing the dice in your favor.
Posting screengrabs is harder than nuCOM, in all honesty.
>2 worse than EU
now that's what I call a correct opinion
Dota.
>calarts
kys yourself
You may be right in some cases, but it still retained its old meaning in many others.
getting lucky at shitty rng doesn't prove anything, come back when you beat an actual game
cs:go
So we agree that the nuCOM games are shit. Cool.
Today League of Legends.
Mk11 or DBD
For me it's Smash Ultimate. More specifically I got good with Jigglypuff but she's so trash but I can't stop playing her. send help
League of Legends. I respect that farming minion waves and balancing that with duels against your opponent laner is an intricate dance that requires skill and practice, especially with teamates , but that doesn't make the forced meta's laning phase of sitting with the same stooge for 10 minutes regardless of if your team is 5/0 snowballing or 1/5 because bot is feeding the jungle in getting ganked, which results in said fed jungle coming up to push your shit regardless of how well your farm is going. This problem is only compounded at the lack of fun your teammates are having as the one feeding is going to endlessly bitch and moan about how the game sucks and they aren't getting proper jungle/support help, the others will be passive aggressive jabbing at bot for feeding, and im sure the enemy jungle/bot wont resist talking shit in allchat. Or you could just be unlucky enough to have a temate DC at loading in, and you have to wait how long to vote a surrender, 10 minutes now?, lest you quit like a sensible person and get reported, only to go said 10 minutes in and to have that one guy in que with his own discord bud talk into voting against the surrender because "its still early in and its anyone's game".
I stopped seeing the fun in this team based game when playing with friends only made the game worse, and is only ok when playing alone. Maybe if more people played modes outside of Summoners and ARAM, but we all see what happened when they tried to bring attention by revamping Dominion and Twisted Treeline and failed. Hopefully either one of Riot's 15 side projects turns out good or the sexual harrasment lawsuit revamped sucks them for all the gold in Demacia and I can get my friends back from the game and it's true passive lifesteal that'd put a BoRK to shame.
Fighting games.
should have been one of the first posts
>bullets leaving the barrel at a 30 degree angle
Why would I subject my self to that shit mechanic when virtually all other games pull off guns better?
play Power Gem, it's a refreshing item and environment-based fighter that heavily de-emphasizes traditional combos for using your surroundings and being resourceful with item management as well as reflexes.
your a retard, because you think csgo is bad for that reason ; you never actually "got gud"
fuck, I meant Power Stone. I need to go to sleep.
Pathfinder: Kingmaker
I don't think the game is bad and I'm still playing after 60h, enjoying myself, but anyone pretending the combat system is good is plain retarded due the poor translation from
>you get punished for doing what's trivial in real time games (moving a unit that's next to an enemy, spellcasting, etc) due PF rules
>impossible to react to anything, specially healing. If a character is low health and you want to save him it's a matter of luck if the enemies decide to kill him or not. Remember, you can move him away because he'll get fucked with an attack of opportunity
>Absolute trash loot system, very few interesting gear, everything else are the same generic objects you'll find 90% of the game
>Rebalanced enemies for no reason at all compared to the board game, making the first part of the game extremely more annoying and hard for the first act, throwing 24 AC enemies at you at lvl 2-3. Stag Lord is just bullshit.
>Clusterfuck of visual starting mid-game where everything is full of fire, lightning and other shit that covers too much or burns your eyes
The turn based mod fixes a lot of these issues but obviously the game isn't balanced or prepared for it and makes fights takes years. It's a shitty feel to be trapped between 2 fucked up modes.
Well, I can always go back to UFO defense. Here’s to hoping the Xenonauts sequel apparently in development is less fucked.
FFVIIR demo.
>your a retard
thats about what I expect from a cs:go log sucking moron
Dark Souls
>bitches about enemies being too hard
yeah you never got gud
Darkest Dungeon
New XCOM
Underrail
No, Xenonauts 2 is complete shit. They altered the kickstarter votes to axe mod support for reasons beyond my understanding and paypigs nearly completely revolted after initial dev journals started coming out. It's nuCOM 2 shit, humanity has already lost and you're one lone unit fighting a vain struggle or someshit. Almost all of the gameplay decisions were lifted straight from nuCOM 2. I have not followed development since, but I did notice the forums being scrubbed of a lot of bitching. I'm still fucking download the install files for X-Division, they're 10 gigs and nexus throttles downloads.
I think we know the difference between "I learned Wavedashing and I still hate Melee" versus dude why do you always use that fucking shine shield? Im not even using projectiles!" You'll know when someone's being a retard vs a legit complaint if you have any stake in the game in question.
csgo sucks
but if you don't know why and try to start a circlejerk about it then i have just the place for you
>it's true passive lifesteal that'd put a BoRK to shame.
well fucking put user
The balancing duel when laning is legit super fucking fun but the fact you're held back by team mates 80% of the time, it fucking blows.
I've recently gotten into SMITE and it's so far satisfied the urge. Lots of diff games modes and they're usually fun/short.
Attacks of Opportunity is such a bullshit mechanic in PF. Main reason why i quit playing it tabletop. Plus monsters having stupid high resistances in every category meant if you didn't 100% minmax into one thing to be a god at it, or didn't spec into doing as much damage as possible, you got fucked and did next to nothing for encounters.
>Underrail
elaborate
if it's anything that can be turned off in a menu then you're just padding your list
He actually took the time to explain his grievances, so I believe his opinion over yours. Honestly, you don't sound like you've actually played the game.
Pandering to e-sports is what killed the game, everything has to be balanced around how a professional pre-made team plays the characters
His grievances are that the enemies aren't easy enough for him. Enough said.
When has pandering to e-sports ever done any good? It fucking ruined RTS games forever
Man the game becomes so god damn easy after Stag lord it's not even fun. As long as Ekundayo is safe, he'll simply destroy anything trying to get close, Valerie can't die unless I forget she exists and the rest just clean around. The only reason I ever lose now is when an enemy pops a random crit or good CC roll against some of my boys. But I reload, doesn't happen again and I move on.
You can fight against the odds all you want, but the first chapter is, above all, a coinflip in the literal sense of it. You're just hoping your characters land hits and the enemies miss, and once you've beaten it and have a bit of level and gear the game finally stabilizes and becomes feasible, but then you go into the other side and become too powerful outside bossfights, which are now the reverse situation where if I crit them the fight is over faster than I expected.
As I said, it's not a bad game, but a poorly balanced one. Feel free to point out anything you seem it's wrong.
I don't mind AoO for turn based with in RtwP it doesn't work. More than once I accidentally asked one of my guys to do something just to see he was closer to someone else and got slapped. It's also visually confusing to see an enemy being beaten to death but still has time to bite one of the 5 guys bullying him if he tries to move away.
Definitely chivalry. Once you figure out all of the glitches it becomes tedious. The coop mode is seriously underrated though.
Gold Hand
No, that's not what he said. He pretty adequately explained that the enemies in the starting area are not only wildly more powerful than your characters are, but they also get priority for certain attacks, making them more difficult than they have any right to be so early on in the game. I admittedly have little knowledge of tabletop games, but 24 AC at level 2-3 is absurd as far as I'm aware. You're trying to simplify an argument that already has proper detail to be regarded as reasonable.
megaman zero/zx collection.
Now say that in English please, you nerd.
The first run or two of the game will inevitably force you to restart because Underrail is a game of making strong builds to stand a chance. It has a lot of outdated designs because the developers were newbies with little to no skill in designing games initially and because they built on those things it can't be salvaged without a lot of effort
Lots of traveling, I like the traveling, I like that the game is hardcore, but I don't like that I have to do a lot of legwork just to progress to some next stage of a sidequest only, or more importantly that it takes about 3-5 seconds of loading per area and there are a lot of areas and it usually takes about 6-10 seconds to waltz through an area without enemies
The final area of the game is a kick in the balls and the final boss is a damage sponge
There are more complaints but I'd get into nitpick territory
>He pretty adequately explained that the enemies in the starting area are not only wildly more powerful than your characters are, but they also get priority for certain attacks, making them more difficult than they have any right to be so early on in the game.
That's a lot of words for "they are too hard please make them easier for me"
This is why I switched to HOTS and never looked back.
Shame that Blizz almost abandoned the game.
