Second one is the weakest. Bloated as fuck and completely meaningless in terms of story. The first at least makes for a good third person shooter with exploration, and the third at least has some puzzling and whatnot, but the second one is just meh.

It starts out pretty good, it ends pretty good, and inbetween is one large blob of awful. It starts when you reach Paititi and ends when you leave Paititi.

How did Crystal Dynamic nail the first reboot only to royally screw it up with the second one?

i played a nu-raider game once. it was a 30 minute cinematic intro/trailer/qte right out of so above so below. i was sick of it by the time i got control the character and then they still wanted to walk me through a tutorial level after all that. i just gave up.

It's funny cause a lot of female Tomb Raider fans are begging for classic Lara to come back. Just search up 'Classic Lara' on Twitter. Shows how out of touch higher ups in the gaming industry are when it comes to female characters. Idk whats with game companies and trying to change iconic characters (male or female doesn't matter).

I don't know what the fuck they were thinking here either. Maybe they assumed people were just that invested in their garbage story (and holy fuck is it a garbage story).
I like some things they did with shadow. Timed jump and run trap sequences made a return, and some puzzles are actually kind of interesting. There's just so much bullshit around it that walking away was the right choice for you.

This is what I mean. Most females that play games love playing cute or hot female characters if they have the option. Just like how must males are gonna play muscly or cool/edgy looking characters. It's just this vocal minority of females that think having attractive females is bad?

I've been playing a little TR3 lately, currently at the quad level in India. The big room with floating corpses of researchers in the second level is still so cool.
