I've tried it. None of the games were fun, the resolution sucks and the tracking was wonky and constantly had to be recalibrated
if i wanted to spend $300 on motion control gimmicks and unfinished products i'd go back in time and get a wii on launch
Then play good games on a good VR device, not google carboard.
This, what a waste of money
>Buys a ps4 pro for only one game
I got to play Playstation VR and the owner had like 5 of the most popular games for it which I tried all of.
I tried it a few times. It's okay but I don't think I'll enjoy it fully for another few years when things advance more and it becomes cheaper to use.
Too many games don't really seem to know what they even should be using it for yet as a lot are just sandbox's that give you a bunch of random toys to use or are shoddy conversions of games that play better with a controller.
>PSVR
>Good VR device
Holy shit user, might as well played on a virtual boy
>YOU ONLY DISLIKE VR BECAUSE YOU NEVER TRIED IT
>i tried it and didn't like it
>Y-YOU DIDN'T USE THE RIGHT VR
blow it out your ass
Sorry user. OP clearly meant decent VR. I guess you don't like blimps after being on the hindenburg
Not him but PSVR is really shit. The tracking is awful and the screen is blurry as fuck.
>VR is perfect!
>oh except for that VR set
>and that one
>yep that one too
>oh and also that one
hmmm I thought OP said VR was supposed to be perfect
I genuinely forget PSVR exists all the time. It really doesn't count. It was trained wrong as a joke.
Bro clearing expert+ levels in beat Saber is one of the most enjoyable video game experiences you can have, I feel bad small minded people who gimp themselves based on one bad experience
>THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT DON'T LIKE IT HAVEN'T TRIED IT YET
>PSVR is the exception though, that one is bad
kinda destroys the original statement, don't ya think?
I just don't any use for a VR set yet. None of the games interest me enough to warrant dropping hundreds of dollars for it.
It's like buying a new console, you have to wait until you find enough games to validate a purchase. I'm sure beat saber is fun, I've always enjoyed rhythm games, but I'm not dropping $499 on it alone.
ITT: Plebs who haven't tried VR yet
you see that's the thing
all these games look like potential fun as tech demos or something, but I'm never going to play any of them for more than 20 minutes
they're just fun little physics playgrounds made to give popular youtubers millions of views with wacky gamer commentary
the money isn't worth it
You know the rules, you fuck.
Tried VR for the first time this year and I was blown away by it. I can't wait to get it set up on my PC and jump into VR chat. I just want to explore worlds from other games as if I was actually there.
Obviously we are talking about good vr. Not VR from the 90s or cheap chink rip offs
>Not VR from the 90s or cheap chink rip offs
PSVR is neither of those things?
This. I tried virtual boy and didn't like it. Why do people like the index again?
It definitely is. It's worse than the DK1
the fact that you need to use extreme hyperbole and compare the PSVR to the virtual boy is hilarious
how desperate do you have to be to disassociate PSVR with the VR discussion so that people won't find out about it despite being a big contributer to the market?

>TFW bringing my Index to family reunions
>Watching Grandpa be blown away and finally "get" why I like videogames
I tried VR years before you stupid zoomers, it's a retarded gimmick.
My friend invited me over to his house to try his VR setup and it was shit. Graphics looked like vomit, gave me serious eye strain + migraine, and I swear the thing ran at like 1 frame a minute.
I used the Valve Index from a friend and I felt like I was gonna vomit the entire time.
Fuck VR
i love how people just cant bring any actual arguments as to why is bad and why is superior on PC. Probably because they havent tried both so they cant even give a solid opinion on the matter.
That's understandable it's not worth it for one game, but if you can get one for cheaper than 200 I'd say do it
>VR is perfect
>except when it's not perfect
OP just said "VR"
not "PC VR" or anything like that, just "VR"

Odyssey+ chads report in
>only $250
>never out of stock
>resolution the same as index
>90hz
>amazing pixel fill
>good black levels
>best inside-out tracking you can get
VR Chat was fun at the start but it's all wannabe youtube celebrities and furry faggots roleplaying buttsex now.
I tried occulus rift a year ago and it was ok I guess. Nothing exceptional and I feel like a waste of money.
It gives me motion sickness
Is it extreme? You think a $200 system can actually provide a definitive VR experience? It's a big contributor to the VR market in the same way mobile games contribute to the video game market.
yes, it's a VR system that's crap
proving OP's point wrong
>in the same way mobile games contribute to the video game market.
You mean how they don't at all? How they're just bait for retarded normalfag whales who live to throw money at jpegs because they have gambling addictions, and only affect the rest of the "gaming" industry negatively, when people who make real video games try to copy their jewish shekel-grabbing ways?
Is that what you mean?
PSVR doesn't count as real VR. Just like how your opinion doesn't count as an actual person's because you are retarded.
I thought the quest had the best inside out tracking
I'm mostly interested in seeing all the servers comprised of levels from games I enjoy.
>VR doesn't count as VR
you are so upset right now
your opinions dont matter, thick headed fuck face. it was already explained to you that psvr is dogshit below google cardboard.
Just bought a i5 9600k and a new motherboard before the virus jacks up prices or services become limited.
Is it good enough for VR with a 5700XT?
>REEEEEEEE THAT WAS A BAD VR SET
exactly, bad VR exists
proving OP is wrong
I know this is shit reasoning but: it’ll be more fun with friends.
Mostly because a lot of the be games aren’t single player.
>post tons of webms and VR content
>everyone continues to ignore it
ah, that's right, I'm on Yas Forums
>upgraded GPU to a 5700XT because my 480 died
>Ryzen 5 3600 coming in two days
>Rift S
I'm ready for Half Life bros
also it feels great finally purging my system of Intel trash
I owned a PSVR for a year before buying a Rift S
The headsets feel like they're two generations apart
PSVR's tracking, resolution, comfort - by every metric it's worse than even outdated PC headsets like the original Vive or Rift
I still have my PSVR sitting in a box but i doubt i'll ever hook it up again because the experience is so inferior that i don't want it. Not to mention the setup takes a lot of space and it's a huge mess of wires.
PSVR is not representative of modern VR.
>beat saber and porn machine
Not worth it for most people.
>Rift S
user I don't know how to tell you this...
What?
It's a decent headset and i had zero issues with it so far.
Tried Index at a friend's place too and obviously it's better, but definitely $600 better. That's why i chose the Rift.
>OP tries to claim that VR is great
>tfw I've learnt more about apparent "bad" VR sets than I have of any good ones in this thread
that's not a good sign
>owned by Facebook
OH NONONONONONO
I tried it
it's amazing
too much stuff to get started up though
Bad VR sets
>phone VR
>PSVR
That's literally it. WMR's tracking isn't stellar, but at sub-$200 price point they have a lot to offer.
Anything above them will provide a good experience.
>Anything above them will provide a good experience.
there's seems to be some disagreement with that
