This will eventually be the best emulation device of all time so you might as well fucking buy it
This will eventually be the best emulation device of all time so you might as well fucking buy it
Nah m8 the Wii U is hands-down the best emulation device, the only things it can't do are 3DS games and Switch games.
>buy switch lite
>stick drift 2 weeks later
Woooooow
>best emulation device of all time
>stuck with inevitable joystick drift
Can I ask what even is the point of the Switch Lite? It looks so fucking uncomfortable to game with. I'd rather spend the extra cash for the console version (even though I'm a poorfag who can't even afford either)
If you aren’t a chimpanzee you will never experience drift. Just take care of it and don’t throw it across the room daily.
I used to think the same thing but it's actually very comfortable in your hands
>shitty bezel problem still not fixed
>stick drift still not fixed
"no"
But I already own one. It's the only pleb tool I own but I can't carry my desktop with me everywhere so what are you gonna do
>Can barely do Gamecube
>We already have several devices that can do most of the GCN library
Dread it. Run from it. Drift will arrive all the same.
Just wait till gamecube VC and Nintendo's in-house emulator
>launch switch and joycons
>no drift at all
>Yas Forums insists i'll get it "eventually" even though i didn't magically get drift out of the box
>drift wasn't a widespread issue until kotaku put out an article complaining about drifting sticks, then suddenly everybody had it and faulty joystick design that wasn't caught or mentioned in any prior teardown was found
I'd make headcannon out of revisionist history too if I actually dropped 200 bucks on a switch lite.
Nintendo's in-house emulator isn't going to magically make the device stronger.
Not to mention the Lite is locked to portable mode, at least the regular Switch can take advantage of Docked Mode and further overclocking
i said "launch switch".
Its better than the vita I'll give it that
But why not the normal switch?
if the wii u can handle gamecube games (which it's known to do, check your vWii) and the nvidia shield's chinese shop can handle ports of twilight princess and mario galaxy with higher-than-stock internal rendering resolutions there's no reason the switch couldn't
Kek, friend, gamecube emulation running poorly is a problem with compatibility, not strength. It's all about the optimization
The psvita has been on that position for the past 5 years
was just about to make a thread. What emulators can switch run? I love my modded N3DS.. Can Switch emulate N64, PSX, DREAMCAST, Gamecube or Wii/wii u games?
In that case I'm deleting your post for off topic.
You mean the PSP stupid sonygger.
Yes, yes, yes, no, no no
It must fell great to play n64 games in half the framerate
>CANT be hacked
>Emulation station
lol no
do you know what eventually means fuckwit
its for the kids you'd buy the 2ds for. So they dont break the joycons right off
What even was the point of the 2DS again? Why did they remove the clamshell design?
vWii isn't emulation, and the Switch doesn't have vWii.
Those Nvidia games are source ports, not emulation
>inb4 why can't the Switch get source ports
Because Nintendo isn't going to source port 20 odd games as a free service for a $20 subscription fee when they could slap on some HD textures and sell it for $60 a pop.
>"works on my machine"
>when drift is so common theres a pending lawsuit that Nintendo tried to have dismissed and failed
>they even had to get rid of warranty on controllers and repair them for free for life because it's so common
>have personally gone through 3 joycons and not a fucking fat fuck or live in a dirty house
I like the switch but getting a permanently attached stick at this point is fucking retarded
whats happening here
Literally how is it better than a PSP? There's no native Wii/Gamecube/Virtual Console on it so unless you like using Dolphin and getting unplayable input delay you're better off not trying to play anything on it at all.
They don't get drift from being thrown around. They get drift from being used as intended for extended periods.
>eventually
>its for the kids
It can barely run old ports, fuck that. The Shitch is useless.
i just got a PSP street on ebay for 20 bucks a month ago, pretty happy with that for emulation
so kids dont snap those hinges with their careless grimy mitts
thats my favorite of all the 3ds models. feels good in my hands, my regular sized 3ds gives me cramps and the d pad feels awkwardly placed on it
>cant fit in pocket
sorry, no
i have a 2ds and the d pad is fucking dogshit, how do you even use that. its so loose and mushy
the d pad is ok on it, its more the fact that it is in a location that doesnt feel weird on the off chance a game needs it. like dragon quest 8 changing the camera felt like hell on the regular model
eh, i use my 2ds for a lot of gba games so it sucks that the d pad doesnt feel good
Vita is *literally* a better PSP.
Nice you get your 3 joycons repaired for free and my 3 DS4s had to he replaced at full price
:)
it literally has a fucking psp inside of it
Yes, precisely.
It has a bigger screen, a second stick, the greatest D-pad in the history of D-pads, better hardware and can straight up emulate a PSP at a native level.
>Can I ask what even is the point of the Switch Lite
it's a toy for children
>theres a pending lawsuit that Nintendo tried to have dismissed and failed
That class-action suit? That went nowhere because Nintendo offering free repairs immediately invalidated the entire suit. There were also basically no takers for it, even after appending Switch Lite drift cases to the class-action.
just the MIPS cpu, the GPU package is emulated
The Nvidia Shield games aren't source-ports, they'd have touched up the FMVs for Galaxy if that were the case. The actual res is 1920x1404 downscaled to 1080p and FMVs are still 480p scaled up which makes it insanely noticeable. They're emulated, pretty similarly to the Xbox and 360 titles you can get on Xbone.
I emulate on the wii u and snes is all fucked up graphically so I switched to playing snes on my 3ds.
It'll also eventually drift on you.
I love how he freaks out
can i hack it? I got the pokemon one for free but I have no use for it if i can't hack it.
Except if you want to get the most out of your emulation machine, you might as well opt for the full Switch model so you can play on your TV as well as on the go. Why needlessly restrict yourself to portable only?
he's recording the picture so he doesn't have to pay for it, so that guy is trying to stop him
Let's be real here, I don't think you can even emulate PS2/GC era games with those specs.
It literally isn't, the Wii is superior
>can i hack it?
Not yet.
>"works on my machine"
Hardware is different than software. You take care of it, keep it clean, don't abuse it and it works well for a very long time.
Stop being a fucking neanderthal and take care of your consoles.
then ill hold onto it until then.
>no use for it
you could, you know, buy games. Or at the very least play the ones that are free
My phone with xbone controller and mount is already a better emulation device, and its about as old as the switch.
i already have games on my regular switch that i've downloaded onto it. I rarely get to bring it with me to places.
