oh yeah sairoux, I recently saw an easy answer to the 22C meaty IW meme setup. you can mash greenshield to push merk away so you can run past the worms and get a real punish.

That's one of my favorite combos. Spent the entirety of his airtime trying to remember if I had to microdash there I did and dropped it though.

1 is a platform heavy Metroidvania, but a little more linear (Think Metroid Fusion-ish) but the gameplay is REALLY smooth. It's fun to just move around in, lots of movement options. I haven't played Ori 2 myself yet though.

It's punishable, you just have to be ready for it. Even I'll get tripped up occasionally in the Yuzu mirror if the opponent teleports unexpectedly.

The air B slash > C teleport in the 2nd video has at least a 7 frame gap, since I'm getting mashed out by Hyde 5A. How feasibly reactable that is if I only do it occasionally remains to be seen

the first one was really linear and focused more on platforming and atmosphere than anything else. a few cute puzzles here and there.
the second made combat more varied, made it more like a traditional metroidvania in terms of map layout, improved pretty much everything else from the first, and almost feels like Hollow Knight-lite in some aspects
visuals and OST are top notch in both, the "boss" platforming segments in both also have some incredible setpieces that are a joy to get through

I've enjoyed both a lot so far, and they're pretty short. if what I described sounds like your thing and you've got nothing else to play, give them a shot.

His damage outside the corner is incredibly underwhelming despite looking so cool, but that's probably still the scrubbiness talking since park had a pretty neat combo that utilized the air series into 66C so there's probably better potential there.
But that mix game is weak compared to his cross-up game so it's something, and his defensive options suck since he'll just die to throws.
But it's not like low tiers ever stopped me so it's no skin off my ass

It's still pretty early to tell in my opinion, but his general game plan does seem to have some holes in it. weak reversal options, bad anti air/air to air game, limited utility supers, weak mix outside the corner, the worst throw in the game outside walds normal throw, not specifically great frame data/ 6 frame mid hitting 2A, etc. he' got problems.
