Yes, they were the best. They focused on destroying the competition by giving consumers what they wanted. That started altering a bit during the PS3, but it wasn't a real problem until the PS4. Nintendo has been focused on what THEY want instead of what fans want. Xbox was a shitshow from the beginning. Worst part about the Xbox and 360 in my eyes was that M$ would drop the consoles almost completely once a new one was about to come out. Hell, I don't even feel like they put any effort into supporting the One game wise. They have just been building up lately by supporting the other shit that Sony used to focus on giving us.

Personally I like giving away things to my friends that are more expensive than they could afford themselves, because it shows to them, that something they would have to save up to buy means so little to me that I can give it away and not feel any financial impact.

Yeah, it wasn't nearly as good as the PS2 or PS for software, but it was an attempt at making what the customers needed. Blu ray was a step forward, which is where the cost came from. The cell was powerful, but suffered from being hard to work with. They sold the system with all the features built in while the 360 came with a bland system meant to nickle and dime you to death. Also made rechargeable wireless controllers a standard without being a bulky aftermarket addon. So tell me user. What about the original $600 console was not in favor of their customer? Hell, it was the cheapest and best blu ray player on release for years even if you didn't want to play games.
