They should do this with a bunch of their other IPs. I like to see they dipping their toes on the water by handling Mario to Ubisoft, Zelda for some indie dev, Star Fox for some DLC. If they did the same for their smaller franchises like Chibi-Robo, Wario, Kid Icarus, Star Fox it would be just a win-win.

Any yearly series would sell better if it wasn't yearly assuming it was actually worth a damn.
It would not have sold like 15 million more if MK9 had released in 2018 and so on. Each one would maybe sell 10 million.
Yes, that's more overall copies sold but each one would sell much worse than 8DX has in total.
