I'm not a huge fan of the way MW handles. I swapped back over to BO4 and WW2 on my Xbox one since MW feels too much like battlefield and not enough like cod. I hope this year goes back to the gameplay roots, not just the aesthetic roots

There is no good BR. Still, Apex and Fortnite do it the best. Everything else is trash or played by nobody, which makes BRs that may be mechanically good irrelevant.

Played it a bit with friends and had some fun. Don't really like the map though, especially from an aesthetics standpoint. Most locations are too samey. It's probably the bland color palette.

It’s ok. Fun to play with a couple friends, but nothing to write home about. Now Plunder is where it’s at, one of the most fun lizard-brain shooter experiences I’ve had in a decade.

The map is utter dogshit, it feels homogeneous no matter where you are. As expected the BR mode is pretty bad too. Find some money, buy a full kit, obliterate everyone with a sniper + AR combo. But the plunder mode is a lot more fun. Spend a lot more time ambushing people/being ambushed trying to build up your cash reserves.

It could use a lot more interesting movement, rooftops are camp grounds and running up stairs fucking sucks ass.
I'm enjoying it more than I expected though.

The BR is well designed and Plunder is fun but it needs a new spawning system. Having to wipe a squad out to prevent them from dropping on top of you is a bit iffy.
If you couldn't respawn until your teammates get to a respawn station or you had periodic spawns in fixed areas it would probably work a bit better.

Came down to me vs a squad of 3. Had survived obliterating squads with my MP5SD and M14.

But they just jumped me and I couldn't do anything, I suspect they had a UAV at that point which makes it impossible to beat them.
