The character itself is fine. Even fIts the game; she’s a broken person trying to deal with her lot on life... but they really should have turned down the Sandy Squirrel act.

It's not often you can pinpoint the exact moment a game turns to shit.

Seriously the game started out fine, but as soon as sadie was forced into main story missions, it really went downhill.

I don't hate her but her surviving American Venom was stupid. She got gutstabbed and didn't receive any medical attention for several minutes.

Plus just from a narrative perspective, both her and Charles getting out of American Venom without any lasting repercussion completely shat on the tone of the series.

If anything, they could have done a nice High Honor/Low Honor thing of Charles surviving his wound but Sadie dying since she stubbornly chose revenge over common sense. Would have been a much better tone to end the game on.

Thought it would have suited her character arc if she had died, but otherwise a great character.

I wish we got to play as her instead of John in the post-game. It would be a chance to give her some depth and nothing John did was interesting.

shes perfectly fine, if you just rush the main story it may seem that she just gets forced into the story but if you spend time in camp you will know that she spends most of the first 2 chapters moping, crying and just observing. She comes to life in ch 3 after the time skip and starts off small. Her big moment is in ch 4 when she takes out a bunch of ODriscolls when they attack. The writers have done an ok job at making her progression belivable.

I suppose it wouldve been better if she died in the end since the game made such a point of recklessnes and revenge being a fools game but ultimately i guess it doesnt matter - shes off to mexico by the end, doubt she had more than a few years in her.

The single most annoying ugly feminist character in the story of vydia. If she was made by Ubisoft people would hater her, but it's Rockstar of David, so they get a pass of course.

Originally Arthur and Sadie was meant to have a romance, but it was cut shortly before release. Theres is some pretty clear traces left of it.

I can be okay with her shooting people but once she's defeating hardened criminal men in hand to hand combat it got cringe.

I wonder if my save file was glitched or something. She literally disappeared from camp after you rescue her, for at least a chapter or so, then the FIRST mission you bring her along she talks to Arthur like they're best buds and John Waynes all over a group of gunmen like it's nothing.

I feel like there was a couple camp conversations or mission I missed somewhere.

I didn't hate her character as much as you all apparently did, but it always struck me that the whole movie hammers on about how Dutch's gang & the outlaw way of life are dying, and Sadie's over there going ballistic with it and no one does anything.

No, not really. You can talk with her a few times, but she's mainly unresponsive as Arthur tries to so sympathy towards her. And then that mission in Rhodes she just is all gung ho and ready to go.

Is it? Not a single good thing happens to the gang in the story, its a long drawn out downward spiral and its not even 100% because of Dutch being a dumbass.
