Emulating FF8 on muh raspberry pi.
Had to cheat to get rid of the Random card rule in Dollet and getting cheats to work in retroarch was a little finicky to set up but it worked flawlessly.
Getting those disc images was a pain too, my old discs are scratched to shit but this program I had (don't remember what it was called) kept trying to make the image for like 2 hours until it was finally done.

I want Xenia to emulate AC6 with a 60 fps hack. It's criminal that a mainline AC game is stuck on fucking 360.

Yes you can, but probably without the 60fps patch. If you dip below 60 frames in a cutscene the audio will desync, so you are safer on the original 30fps.

You play the PSX version. The later versions have botched translation full of revised faggotry.

rpcs3 has proper dualshock support that uses official sony drivers that are meant for psnow users
it also supports scp's pressure sensitive xinput.dll that works with pcsx2 as well

Currently playing Castlevania since the new netlfix season has me hyped. I'm surprised how well these games have aged, I'm not a retro gamer and grew up with the wiiU and ps4 so this is nice to go back to.

I have heard different things on the seires, some people say to get different versions of the games. Like the japanese version of 1-3 are harder than english or something?

I was planing on going back to play 2 or 3 but I'm not aware of the differences between localized and japanese games.

Don't know about his CPU, but I have 3600 and shit heavily slows down the moment there are bigger maps, like that one where you meet Sokolov in Virtuous Mission.

Unironically what I plan to do when I have the space. I have several old CRTs with A/V in from when I was a kid. I wanna set up a full ass retro room with 90s/00s stuff and all my older consoles hooked up to a CRT. Gotta get that comfy nostalgia going

With custom build, you can play CoD3 a little and even force 60 fps, but too many shaders try to compile at the time so it crashes very often.

I played it on a 2500, some areas were a bit slow like your webmbut not that bad. Don't remember the virtuous mission doing it though. You might need to change a setting to get it running properly, a 3600 should be able to run it no problem.

Fuck me, I was thinking about CoD3 this exact night what the fuck. I tried playing it but the screen shaking+smokes+depth of field when aiming made it impossible for me to see anyone on the screen.
There's a patch that removes/automates the touchscreen shit, I've used that with no regrets.
