Granblue Fantasy Versus thread, lets share tips to be better at fighters
Are the missions a good way to start learning specific characters if this is pretty much my first fighting game?
How do I potato?
#1 rule is to keep your focus on practicing and improving the things you've learned about your character during your matches, rather than trying to focus on winning.
Go stupid.
Yes, but you'll find the combo missions can be a bit hard, so don't worry about using those combos in real matches. Just remember autocombo into uppercut is usually good enough.
Fuck, I want a Monsterâ„¢ Energy Drink now.
Still waiting for them to release her theme.
I am disappointed it isn't based on her HL with Emi Evans theme but the bit they played was still top tier.
Why the fuck is the steam store page not up yet?
How do I go stupid with potato?
Mash buttons
Because Xseed are lazy fucks
Who should I be watching if I want to play Zeta?
Punk
punk is the only person i've seen play zeta
If this is your first fighting game you should focus on learning a strong grasp of the fundamental aspects of the genre before you start learning anything character-specific. Things like a basic approach to the neutral game (what are your anti-air buttons, which buttons are good to poke with and at what ranges), how to structure pressure (what is a frame trap, a safejump, staggered pressure, a basic high/low/throw mix-up, and how to apply these options to condition and open up your opponent), how to defend against pressure (which options are beat by mashing, by reversals, by jumping, etc.), and very simple, short combos that end in hard knockdowns so you know what to do when you hit with something. Once you have a solid grasp on all of that then you can start focusing on other stuff like optimal damage and character-specific gimmicks and tools.
watch replays of high ranked jp players in-game
Do you know how to play charge characters?
Built for anal
Use simple inputs for fucking everything, only bother to charge for mid-combo blanka balls and shit.
anyone down for a lobby
Yes, make one.
room Yas Forums
pass: vee
Can spotdodge beat everything or can it get hit by grabs or something?
loses to lows and grab
Can be grabbed and doesn't have many I frames so meaty attacks will hit in the recovery
Roll is beat by lows, not spotdodge.
Any kara throws discovered yet? Im still shocked grabs will miss by the slightest .01 second microwalk away.
seems like I still get hit by kat 2M and ferry sweep even when I time it
Keep in mind spotdodge is not invul during the entire animation, you got 4 frames of vulnerability at the end of it.
What are the anti-air button for Ladiva? Why does the DP aa grab never works for me?
Heres a tip. Get to labbing instead of being a coomer making threads on Yas Forums
I still love her old theme. It has written Uematsu all over the place and that's one of the thing that drew me into the game.
the end of the dodge doesn't really account for when I get hit at the beginning
Then you're either getting fucked by netplay or doing it incorrectly, it is fully strike/projectile invul on frame 1.
i've seen a lot of ladiva use the elbow as an AA against me
They're retarded then.
I'm gonna need you to tech these throws bro
Goddamn Charlotta is kinda OD.
I actually think she loses to fastiva
Moni moni when?
room's still up and running if anyone's lurking
Mash buttons.
>Red "Playing Wagner is Difficult" Blade
Nice tip, that's how i got the gold rank trophy in SFV
Needs more potatoes
Scratch card in half an hour, brace for disappointment.
How so? I find it hard to punish any of her nonsense + she stuffs out a lot of buttons.
Isn't every SFV combo like that too?
I can't wait for more berries
The optimal way to play that mu is to basically crouch block and poke with 2M until a hit confirm. Since Char has to make the first move and gets outranged, she'll eventually get desperate and start jumping in to cover ground which gets hard stuffed by your anti-air into a half HP punish. If I hit the corner I'm almost never leaving it. Even in neutral when you start incorporating SPDs after a stagger it forces char to play scared.
Nah they have this v trigger thing now so its totally different(same)
why yes, I've never played SF, how could you tell?
redblade smells like shit
>Why aren't these combos 15 seconds long?
>How will people know I'm good at this game if I can't show off my rote muscle memor- I mean god tier execution
>What's neutral?
Under Night players have brain problems.
He has better neutral than you.
No, even without vtrigger there are more differences in your standard combo paths. It isn't like every EX causes a wall bounce and hard knock downs there which guides how combos work in GBVS.
fuck off redblade
Why do people always jump to
>THEY JUST WANT LONG COMBOS!
GBVS issue is variety not length. You can already do some pretty long combos in this game
because they don't play or understand fighting games
Didn't Narmaya's big tiddies saved the game?
