Step aside Steam and Epic, GOG finally has one of the best and most unironically beloved MK games in their store
Does it have online multiplayer?
wow it FINALLY has a game I've already played 20 years ago and could easily pirate at any point in time from then until now
I literally bought it just like that, partly because I pirated it when I was a kid.
remember when GOG was actually about old games? now it's like they release them once a few months or so, but I understand that's becoming increasingly harder to obtain licenses as they already have the most sought after games.
>PC MK4
Also thats UMK or MK2.
They need to contact Japanese publishers and let them sell their old console games with an emulator, like PCSX-Reloaded.
nice but where is mk trilogy?
They already sell the first 3 games in their MS-DOS versions.
gog.com
MK4 is like the worst game in the series.
IT'S OVER, JAREK
>PCSX-Reloaded
I really hope you guys don't do this
Well, Sony and the company that sells N2O: Nitrous Oxide on Steam already use it.
Yes but where is Trilogy
Maybe they feel it's redundant.
>first step into the absolutely shit era of 3D MK games
>unironically beloved
You do realise old games are finite right? You do realise some old games are stuck in IP limbo or lost to history right?
I don't know if you noticed this but I was being ironic
Meh, I was more excited seeing MARK OF CHAOS on GOG
lol fucking polish viral marketers
get your shitty abandoned online shop outta here
I just got a dreamcast and started playing MKG for the first time, and hot damn Kung Lao is broken as fuck.
speaking of Warhammer, how do they still not have the Dawn of War games?
A riddle for the ages.
sega.com
if it had the graphics of the arcade version i would buy it, but it's just the n64 version.
Why is Dawn of War unique in this aspect? they sell it on steam as well
The point is that it is owned by Sega. You won't see it on GOG.com anytime soon.
I dont know, the older 40k games are there but dawn of war sure takes it time to appear on GOG, tho I am waiting patiently for Armies of Exigo.
>Still no AVP 2
>not even the arcade version
Who cares?
Your better off just emulating Gold on the Dreamcast.
The only good part of 4 are the endings.

Only thing I remember about MK4 was seeing the continue screen of a character falling down a well to their death. It scared me as a kid.
GOG should develop an Amiga emulator so they could offer their (superior) versions as bonus content.
I played them first on amiga(at least the first one) and I can say they were NOT superior.
I meant in a general sense.
Best continue screen of all time
>I only miss one thing: In the original PC version of MK4, when the game started, there was the option menu displaying a picture of Scorpian in the living forest and you could hear the laugh of the announcer. That's not in the GOG version. Other than that, the GOG version is flawless (Flawless Victory).
I wonder why Warner changed this...
>your mother something something
UMK3 still has the best designs and aesthetic.
>Not the Arcade version
Whats the point. Its perfectly Emulable, doesnt have the god awful graphics. and has the best sound.
Shame its lacking the Dreamcast extra content.
I don't think any company wants to sell anything with MAME and developing an emulator just for a GOG re-release doesn't make sense financially speaking.
It fucking bled 90's.
Honestly, you wouldn't want to play MK4 online. Gameplay was horrendous.
I rather have MK1/2 Aesthetic.
Dark Asian was great, but when it started going full on fantasy was rather gay.
Also MK3/UMK3 is severely lacking in animations and fatalities compared to MK2. The Music is hit or miss, MK2 is superior in that too imo, also in the sound effects deparment.
Maybe if you were drunk.
MK was always psuedo-asian mythology anyways.
MK2 was steeped heavily in surrealism. It's 1 that was the most grounded and even then it was weird.
MK4 wasn't even liked in its own era. UMK3 era heads played it and felt it was shit and just went back to UMK3 for like the next 15 years until MK9 came out and it became the "MK" game. And MK2 purists hated UMK3(KI auto combos, run system, lighter aesthetics) for all the additions they implemented so they disliked MK4 from the jump. No one fucked with MK4 except for ultra casuals who just play to do 1 or 2 specials and beat ladder. In multiplayer/pvp-terms no one gave a fuck about that game.
You mean MK2.
Every fighting MK game sucks outside of MK2, UMK3, MKD, and MK9. And even within that group, all those games have massive flaws.
mk4 was shit who cares
>every MK fighting game sucks except half of them
Okay.
youtube.com
3D was a mistake
know very word of this ending by heart
youtube.com
>not posting the absolute peak of vidya kino
>Never!
I mean... MK4 was bad even back then.
The graphics were ackward. the gameplay was all samey. the music and heavy use of the subwoofer was kinda cool though, it had a nice aesthetic going on. but other than that? eh....
It's playable, but emulation isn't finished.
that's not tekken3
Tekken 3 is not a PC title.
>Video from 2016
some times i stay awake at night wondering what this tormented scream is supposed to be really saying besides I'MSOGAAAAAY or IT'SOKAAAAAYYY
