The reason 2016 was so huge was because they were still using some version of megatexture bullshit. That's gone now so it might actually be smaller.

I'll probably go with UV. Nightmare is kinda broken in 2016 because it actually becomes progressively easier, which is dumb.

Yeah probably, but I'm just so used to Nightmare 2016 at this point, beaten it on that difficulty like 6 times

UV is easier overall, but the gradual rise in difficulty as the game progresses feels a lot better than having the first level be the hardest. It just makes no sense that fighting a few lowly imps is a harder battle than one involving mancubi, cacodemons, barons, revenants, summoners, you name it. It makes the final levels of the game very anticlimactic because you're having an easier time than ever. I enjoyed my UV runs a lot more than Nightmare.
