BL3 plays considerably better than BL2. The guns are way cooler too. I'd recommend playing through it at least once, it costs nothing to pirate it and try for yourself.

What I hated the most about BL3 is how you're forced to sit through their retarded dialogue. Remember how in BL2 you could take a quest and immediately go kill shit? The NPCs would deliver their long speeches, but if you move away they'll just continue over the radio. That was actually some forward thinking, most RPGs force you to either just stand there and read walls of text or skip it and be clueless about the story.
Well, in BL3 the story is even more retarded and also way less funny, but now you also have to stand there, because most quests force you to wait until the NPC is done talking to press some button or give/take some quest item from them. You can't just have it play in the background while you kill stuff.

Hmm alright, I will try it out, if I play it I will have to do a dual setup then I guess to mute and do some work while the dumb npcs nag on I guess. If BL3 somehow manages to be less funny than BL2 I am astonished.

Worth mentioning ingame cutscenes are skippable now so the godawful story is skippable now. If you get the updates anyway. If you pirate you still have to watch the cutscenes.

Cutscenes are only a tiny portion of all the bullshit the game makes you listen to, most of the time it's dialogue that prevents you from progressing. Or can you skip that too?

People have asked for that since 2 but we only just got it in the last month so my guess the real reason is to stick to pirates. They're usually good for fixing game-play fan complaints between games otherwise like slag or scaling so I'd be surprised if they tried to argue they didn't know people wanted it.

I have nothing to look forward to in any sequels or DLC. Fuck everything. Fuck it. I don't care about Borderlands anymore. There's nothing left. Well that's still "progress stopping". Until they're done talking the next quest objective won't activate, doors won't open, you won't get quest items, etc.
But yeah, skipping cutscenes is something I guess.

How is the performance now? does it still stutter a lot every now and then for no reason? I had such weird performance in that game. Sometimes it's fine, then other times it just goes to shit for no reason and then goes back to normal. Sometimes it crashes too, but then I can't figure out how to replicate the situation that made the crash.

She was training her because BL3 reveals that upon her death a Siren gets to "nominate" a new Siren (if she doesn't a new one is chosen at random). That was clearly some top secret elder knowledge no one except maybe the highest of monks know about. When Maya learned about that, she looked for someone to train so that in case she dies (being a Vault Hunter AND a Siren is dangerous business) she has someone trained and trustworthy to choose. As for why Ava - well, Maya liked her attitude, so it seems from the audiologs.

I will wait until the complete full edition comes out on sale with all the patches and dlc.

Man, I was so upset and let down by the game that I just uninstalled it a couple of days after I beat it. I should play it again one of these days and look for all the lore bits and secrets. But I really don't feel like reinstalling it unless the game gets an amazing DLC like Tina's DLC in BL2. I feel like I've done everything I've wanted to in this series. I think I just burned myself out in BL2/Pre-sequel and when BL3 didn't live up to the hype or let alone surpass them I think that was basically it. I feel like I can only get back into Borderlands if they did a full reboot from scratch, but I don't trust Gearbox to deliver.

I loved Borderlands 1 and 2, and still managed to enjoy the Pre-Sequel a fair amount even though it wasn't my favorite.
Is it worth getting Borderlands 3?
The version that includes all the DLC is only $50 right now since it's on sale, which is $10 less than the base game would have been not on sale.
It does have crossplay with people who already own it on the EGS right? Some of my friends were dumb enough to buy it there.

I'm a bit worried since those friends were the same people who played a lot of the other BL games with me in the past and they really haven't been playing 3 all too much since it came out on EGS, nor have they really talked about the third game being good or anything.

I'm already planning on getting Doom Eternal and I'm not sure if this game would be worth spending the money on right now or not.
