Maya was squaring off against the Twitch Twins after they absorbed a Vault monster when suddenly Ava jumps into the crossfire like a deaf kid on a busy street. Tyreen takes Ava hostage while Maya takes Troy hostage. Troy then figures out he can leech off of any Siren, not just his sister, and fucking Thanos Snaps Maya out of existence while she screams in agony. Ava falls to her knees and cries. Once you regroup on Sanctuary 3, Ava lashes out and blames Lilith for Maya's death despite the fact that Maya deliberately told Ava to stay behind while Lilith wasn't even involved with the decision.
