Everyone knows ebony is peak aesthetic
I was always partial to glass shortswords
I can't remember it being white, is this a mod?
Pair it with an elven dildo to dual-wield on your asshole, you knife-ear loving faggot.
obviously
glass is green, there's a blue version called chillrend
popular mod added obsidian and glass variants (black and orange) but that's been buried for decades
remember trolling people on google video when that was a thing with it, making fake vids on where to find it
that's not a shortsword that's a claymore
cyrodiil...
home...
if it's not the debaser or one of the rare fine steel weapons, it's not aesthetic
A tleast it was before Todd fucked everythang up
The temptation comes over me occasionally to buy an xbone just to play Oblivion with a controller. The PC version has hard limits on controller configs being completely functional.

Will any game ever be this comfy again?
Dwarf fags on suicide watch.
considering skyrim pretty much just ripped all of morrowinds OST (and no one played morrowind)
i guaranteed ES6 will rip oblivions OST and your nostalgia and soul will be restored again
and no one will know it came from oblivion because it will be different to skyrim
everything in oblivion looks off
I doubt it. No game has ever made me feel like Oblivion did.
Based alert
>considering skyrim pretty much just ripped all of morrowinds OST
Impossible, Skyrim had more than 6 tracks.
There is a mod on nexus that gives you native controller support.
I miss the cozy atmosphere. Skyrim kind of scratched the itch, but it didn't have the same feel.
Yeah, Skyrim is a good game for sure, but it lacks that fantasy feeling from Oblivion. Maybe I'm biased becuase I'm from a country with a lot of snow, but I enjoy the warmer landscapes.
and the only ones that were memorable, including the intro menu theme, were jacked straight from morrowind
the rest is just ambient shit that plays when exploring but isn't memorable at all
It feels like walking off the porch on a summer evening right as the sun sets, wandering down into the woods as a sweet smelling breeze caresses your skin and the tall blades of grass tickle your legs
oblivion was comfy because it was set in cyrodiil which has a piece of everywhere in each corner, you've got snow up north, marshes down south, bays and beaches in the east, meadows and plains around the west, etc
no matter what none of the other games will touch that feeling of running through the world while the OST plays
it also helps that oblivion had great DLC (called "plugins" back then) and other than horse armour didn't jew you too much with it either
Skyrim's rougher, harsher textures and color palette compared to the soft, bloomy warmth of oblivion's is probably the reason for that.
Dive Rock....home
Why are morrowindfags so obnoxious about their shitty game? Skyrim didn't use Morrowind's OST until the Dragonborn DLC where it made sense.

is skyrim 6 finally going to have proper combat or is it just going to be barebones, mindless, unpolished combat that's all about your stats and nothing more again?
TES was always about questing over combat
Then why did skyrim have shit quests
You're dead wrong
Bad writing
Why is TES lore split between maybe 30% direct info and 70% nonsensicial "maybe" bullshit?
Like with the Shivering Isles expansion. You CLEARLY defeat Jyggalag, endign the Greymarch cycle permanently, leaving Jyggalag as Jyggalag. The Champion becomes the replacement Sheogorath.
The "lore" instead dances aroudn the whole issue and almost pretends none of it happened, with the ESO writers coming up with some horseshit excuse to pretend that this happened every Greymarch yet Jyggalag reverted every time.
Why the fuck do they do this shit? I can only imagine the fucking mess that TES6 will have to deal with on who won the damn civil war in Skyrim- it'll probably be set 100 years later and barely referenced or some stupid fucking nonsense to handwave it all away.
If Fallout 76 doesn't tank them before that.
I'm having fun on a mage character, using just illusion and conjuration.make them rage and kill their friend and then calm them so my summon can stab them.
There's something about TES swords that I just don't like, most of them look like slabs of steel with no edges
They ruin every thread because no one cares about them.
I'm playing through shivering isles right now and sheogarath just told me about the cyclical shit. Greymarch happens, he becomes jygalaag, destroys realm, comes back somehow, repeat.
Anyways to answer your question it's because magic and fantasy aren't about concrete answers, it's mythology, it's different interpretations and stories. That's the whole point
>ESO
There's your problem
Except this time you broke that cycle.
Is ESO even actual canon since it's done by an outside studio? Not that "canon" means much when Bethesda's own writers are idiots who make more retcons that George Lucas.
Elder Scrolls lore is 80% retarded. The world is the dream of some extradimensional being, the Daedric princes are all the same person, and every single mod ever made is canon. Including the one where girls orgasm from riding horses, including the one where you can get raped by a wolf then give birth to a doll 5 minutes later, including the one where you own a secret grotto villa with slaves in a rape dungeon. Just go with it bro
Yeah and in Skyrim we see sheogarath is the Cyrodiil hero and Jygalaag is nowhere to be seen so what's the issue ?
I really dont know honestly, Im erring on the side of not canon, and if it is Bethesda will use the usual trick of dragon breaking it to prevent it from conflicting with whatever they need to work in the latest entry
>Cyrodiil in the lore-
Lush rainforest, river dragons jumping in the waters, powerful moths everywhere holding up living mannequins of dead kings
>Cyrodiil in Oblivion-
North Dakota circa 1820
objectively wrong, but remain ignorant, no one cares about a faggots opinion
it's Bethesda's habit of shoving content on the player, then not wanting to acknowledge the content ever happened.
If they want a set lore, then they should do away with player choices. They damn well almost made the character generator useless when they made a canon Dragonborn for the commercials...
...TES6 won't even have a character gen screen, will it? Or mod support. Watching Todd Howard go batshit crazy defending F76 and attack critics makes me wonder if he's suffering a degenerative mental disorder. The company also turned Doom into pure shit and Jeremy Soule will never be allowed to work on the music after what came out about him last fall, unless they want to piss people off.
you guys should try out enderal. its standalone now and i really have fun with it
Both are canon. When tiber septim/zurin Arcturus/Hjalti -early beard ascended to godhood and became TALOS he changed Cyrodiil retroactively to suit his people better.
>I breathe now, in Royalty, and reshape this land which is mine. I do this for you, red legions, for I LOVE you.
I'd love an updated version of arena where you can wander the entire continent with newer graphics and well written quests, but it'll never happen. I'd also like an optional co-op mode, but that's off limits too.
But they do acknowledge the content because Sheogarath is the Cyrodiil hero and Jygalaag left to roam the plains of Oblivion and regain his power, just like he said he would
oh, so that's what Heimskr was always yelling about.
Based North Dakota
>those Crysis 1 assets
Fuck EA
I will not deny her the heads of Kings
What mods should i use to make Oblivion playable?
I recommend the Uninstall wizard because clearly you are not capable of appreciating the game
Level scaling is absolutely fucked and you know that.
>Skyrim marriage system
>damn near useless
>99% of eligible characters you will have all of 2 minutes of interaction with at best
>have to use mods to try and add marriage features to make it worthwhile to bother with
>mods being needed are true for much of the game though as it was clearly not finished
>same sex marriage yet no same sex couples as NPCs in the game so... weird?
>Serana
>finally a character you actually interact with and has some effort put into her
>rejects you despite spending Dawnguard being almost overly flirty and attached
>lame "temples scare me" and "I did bad things 2000 years ago, I don't deserve to be happy" excuses
>Devs probably didn't have time to code in marriage before the DLC went live
>writer claims he didn't think anyone would even want to marry her
>threw in rejection dialog instead of no dialog option
No wonder the mod to marry her is popular.
Lydia has the personality & intelligence of a talking bird.
Another user answered it pretty well earlier in the thread. Try F3.
Skyrim is shallow, who could have guessed.
