I don't know how much the rest of you know about Playstation culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is on PC where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over on Playstation, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.
What this means is the Playstation fanbase, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase Horizon: Zero Dawn for either platform, nor will they purchase any of Guerilla's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Guerilla Games has alienated an entire market with this move.
Guerilla, publicly apologize and cancel Horizon: Zero Dawn for PC or you can kiss your business goodbye.

I don't get it... Nintendo retarded BOTW's graphics by a decade to give the game a ridiculously complicated physics system. Guerrilla gave HZD detailed, modern graphics and dumped a bunch of pointless details.

Ever notice how almost no game character uses a doorknob to open a door? even in super realistic games, like Red Dead 2. you just click a button and the door opens. You don't need stupid, tedious realistic animations and physics for absolutely everything. these are GAMES. they are supposed to deliver a few systems for the player to have fun with and interact with the challenges. Horizon is a fast paced action game. Zelda is a slow exploration game with sim elements.

seriously, as often as Aloy gets smacked around by robot dinosaurs, players would lose their shit if they had to wait 20 minutes for her to finish rolling down a hill so they could get up and get back to the fight. But, Zelda is designed around that level of realism, so it works. it is a different game

Early on you don't have much to pick and choose from gear-wise, the guy who made the video was wearing mismatched clothes from different sets, I guess for efficiency, the bandanna is part of the climber's set and gives you faster climbing, the doublet is a freebie that the king gives you and the only cold-resistant piece of gear until you get to the Rito village and the pants are from the base Hylian armor set and are the only piece of it you get before arriving in Hateno village, and they're better than going pantsless or wearing the shitty threadbare pants you get from the Shrine of Ressurection.
