The story was boring, I didn't care about any of the characters, the battles were more boring than the story somehow, the lack of any digimon main characters made it feel like the story wasn't about digimon. And these next points are subjective but I only liked two songs from the soundtrack, the roster left much to be desired, and the concept of hackers disgust me.

You'll still have to keep going to it throughout the game but it becomes less frequent as you progress, if that's any consolation.

Better than literal shit like nu pokemon, but inferior to a lot of other jrpgs, it is a poorsman SMT with shitty dungeons and bland world.
it has a good chunk of Digimon if you don't mind the subpar gameplay and levels.
If you can get World Next order somehow get that instead.

They tries to make it super series but it wa melodramatic as hel. Everything was shit like the animation and story. They would release 1 movie every couple of years. Abandoned botched ideas everywhere. They clearly knew about as much as you did about sigimon and just looked it up on wikipedia
