Why does Yas Forums hate tempered side glass panels?

because it's for simps

i don't need to see inside my computer.

>stock cooler

But isn’t admiring the components you’ve acquired part of the appeal of a gaming PC?

Glass insulates too well.
It's bad for efficient cooling.

idc about "admiring my components" all i care about is performance and price

Why are gay? Its a device to play video games, not a work of art

I hate being reminded of the mess of cables so I cut a piece of sheet metal to replace my glass panel with.

By using them, yes

Is it really necessary or highly recommended to get water cooling or an AIO cooling system?

If I wanted to "admire" my parts I'd open up my case

No.

I don’t drive around with a see through hood on my car

No, but you should get an aftermarket air cooler at the very least.

If I buy a decent Ryzen 3 this year, will it last me for a long time?
My current Intel chip has only just started bottlecking, and I bought it in 2012.

My assumption is that games will be CPU limited by the new consoles, so as long as I surpass that spec I should be good for a while.

Yes. I got a 2700x 2 years ago and I really don't plan on upgrading it any time soon.

I meant Zen 3, so I guess Ryzen 4000-something.

No.

Shouldn't give you issues for a long time. I'm an early adopter of the Ryzen chips and my 1700 had done me well since then.

No. I hide my PC out of sight and I want it to be a small and as unnoticeable as possible. I hate having a giant gaudy fucking box in my room. If I could I would put it in a closet in the corner.

not in the slightest.
do you plan to overclock? invest in decent air cooler and don't get your hopes too high, if that particular silicon was good enough to allow much of overclocking headroom, it'd be sold as higher model.
don't plan on overclocking? stock cooler is good enough, worst case scenario it's be bit noisy.

>mfw still rocking the stock cooler on my 9 year old processor

No. having a window side panel on a PC is like having window hood on a car.

Would this be good for 1080p 60fps? Or is it overkill? Any help is appreciated.

series 4000 will be last one to be supported on current a4 socket, so depending on processor you choose you might be locking yourself out of upgrade path.
but i don't see 3950x getting obsoleted anytime soon, though thing will stay expensive as fuck.

This is retarded. Difference between steel and glass is negligible for a pc case.

Yas Forums is filled to the brim with jealous poorfags that can't be parted with $20 that they need to donate to their favorite streamer.

looks like it would do 1440p 60fps fine even

This might be true for amd but a crap ton of k series chips overclock very well as long as you have a good mobo with vrm heatsinks. AIO is nice so you don't have hot cpu air blowing right on them and can focus on exhausting gpu air with 1 top fan to blow cold air over vrms.

thing is you can drill steel panel and install side fans to improve airflow and thermals.
hell, you could do that with cheap acryllic panels too, though that wouldn't be pretty.
but with glass panels it's not an option.

>a computer is a car that spends all day everyday battling the elements.
No it's not anything like that. Its more like having a window on your pc so you can see inside of it when you want to instead of taking off the side panel.

if you aren't overclocking, you're fine.

In that case, can I get away with something cheaper like the 5600 XT or 1660 TI? I'm aware they will do the job but I just don't want to get something that will be out of date to play on high settings in the next year or two. Sorry if that sounds dumb.

>side panel fan to blow dust and debris inside the case. There is a reason even non-windowed cases by and large stopped putting fan slots on the side. Its dumb.
>muh thermals
A literal non issue these days and if you're doing heavy benchmarking you want open air anyway.

1660ti is a budget card so don't expect much especially in a year or 2.

I work at an esports center with 36 pc's all with these tempered glass panels. I have to take them off because they get so fuckin hot. We have 7 case fans and adequate exits for air.

How about the 5600 XT?

Are you that fucking retarded that you don't know the mean of comparisons?

>No it's not anything like that. Its more like having a window on your pc so you can see inside of it when you want to instead of taking off the side panel.

No it's not anything like that. Its more like having a window on your car so you can see inside of it when you want to instead of opening the hood.

Was that easier for you to understand, you illiterate retard?

>get case for looks
>turn it around backwards so the ass end is hanging out
so this is the power of the pc master race

no
why the fuck you'd want to look at inside of your fapbox rather than on screen?

I want to easily access all the ports on the motherboard

After googling, it seems the wraith prism cooler is actually decent, much better than intel’s stock coolers. It seems if I want to upgrade my CPU cooler, the next best thing is to do water cooling since the wraith is very comparable to aftermarket coolers

I have those speakers, good choice.
I prefer a solid case for the noise reduction.

Underrated post

The only reason to have a windowed case is with watercooling, so you know when to call the insurance company and pretend it wasn't your fault.

I picked up a Cooler Master Evo 212 for $20 and it cut temps from my prism down by 10+ degrees.

why have side on your computer case at all? I like mine wide open so I can hear if there are issues.

CPU R5 2600 is very good and mutch cheaper
RAM beware of height because of the cooler, speed is not very important!
SSD, super importante , põe o teu OS e um ou dois jogos, os ssd são muito baratos e fazem uma diferença extrondosa na velocidade do teu sistema, até a HD vai beneficiar do ssd velocidade. arranja um cabo sata rápido.
CASE. this is personal preference but ... FUCKING BEAUTIFUL I WANT AIR FLOW :) .... this box is cheaper and has more air flow (and one more fan).
PS. Bronze is good enough.

BTW don't forget the Fans in this box can have 6, + -
10 bucks each, 1800 rpm with 4 pin PWM.

Get a cheap monitor with freesync nvidia

Console niggers i bet

>admiring consumer grade electronics that are overpriced and obsolete the day they were released
neck yourself you idiot

What shitbox case do you even use, fag?

Week 6, system is still stable.

This is also why all my stuff is in RGB. Haters stay mad and enjoy your dementia at 40.

only ricers use windowed side panels
no one wants to see that shit

>why have side on your computer case at all?
Air flow's worse that way. You want a focused stream of air.

Show off your gunpla, nerd.

Water cooling is completely unnecessary and only adds headache.

Sometimes when I'm not doing anything, I like to just look at it. It's tantalizing sometimes.
